Such a killer band! Currently sending a bunch of videos to get my Dad into AATS. Don't worry: he's wicked-cool. This in no way diminishes the band's Radness Cred; in fact, it may even heighten it, especially if my Mom hops on board, too. My parents love Mr Bungle, Zappa, Lummox, Weird Al, and everything from Zydeco to Reggae, Bluegrass to New Wave to World Music; Ska, Rock of all kinds, ditto for The Blues. Experimental everything. Noise bands. Even some Hip-hop, R&B, Extreme Metal, and Industrial. My parents have an astounding, baffling-to-normies music collection. I just went overkill there, when I could have just said something like: "M&D always been ahead of their times in terms of badassery. They eschew classifying people by the narrow genres they listen to, do away with any kind of musical limitations or snobbery, and have always been that way." Or something along those lines. Jeez even that's kinda wordy. Fuck! Okay! I'm just beginning to dig deeper into these guys' work, and I REALLY like what I'm hearing so far. Hey..just remember if it wasn't for us 50' something to -70 yr olds there wouldn't be punk in the first place..we were making this music 45 yrs ago here in Britain!
