Pampered Chef Stand Mixer Review! How does this mixer compare to all the other mixers that we've tested? Pampered Chef has finally came out with a stand mixer. It is 5.75 quarts with 500 watts. It comes with a scraper paddle, whisk, and dough hook. Today we are doing a stand mixer review to see how the Pampered Chef mixer performs.

Amy I just bought a Cuisinart Caskata mixer , it is beautiful and works fantastic ! And I am a kitchenaid girl , ( gifted to my daughter , 20 years working like brand new) . We downsized recently and thought maybe I would get an Artesian mini , but I wanted the 5.5 size .. it is very beautiful and works fabulous !

Loved Your review Amy! We recieved PC Stand Mixer for kitchen at church through PC party held. Went to use it, pluged in n couldn't figure how to make it work (so I decided to find a video vs reading booklet). Was finially able to get eggs wisked, would have been quicker by hand. Agree with fact that too many dial choices and on/off switch???... wanted to stop mixer n couldn't...so unplugged. Perfect results! it stopped. Obviously PC had beginners in mind not seasoned bakers/cooks. The beeping everytime dial is touched is overboard & beyond annoying (trying to figure out how to silence). Your demonstration showed same issues we are having. I'll stay Old School and Simple with old fashion bar slide or turn knob stand mixers (that stops when all the way to low/then off. For high the bar or knob stops moving). Thank You for your Honest and Funny! review!!! It was great! So my vote; "PC Stand Mixer not for me."

Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry you had to struggle. Pampered Chef makes some really nice products. I agree this could have been made better, so a little disappointed.

OMG I love this mixer. Put whipping cream in it. Dial to whip and press go. Go ahead and leave the kitchen if you want! It starts off slowly, speeds up over time and STOPS automatically! WHAT?! Amazing

Just from watching the video the sound of the motor boutique drove me crazy guess I'll stay with my KA because I also love my noodle maker and ice cream attatchments.

Have to agree with you - the design of the controls is rather counter-intuitive, and as you discovered - not exactly a joy to use. There's a lot to be said for simplicity - but it costs manufacturers very little to provide these so-called "features" - that they feel can differentiate their product from others in their field. Thanks for testing this mixer.

Pretty mixer but I love my cheap Bosch knock off. It’s actually 600 watts and cost $50. I love it so much I have a second one coming today. It’s only 8 pounds.

@@redhunnid5142 I got a Cooks Companion then I have a twin to it that is digital it’s a Wolfgang Puck. I use the Cooks companion to make soap and body butter. The WP to make food. They are lightweight and get the job done.

That is a very bouncy mixer. More bouncy than my 5 qt tilt head KA mixer for sure. Wow. And yes, I too heard the motor high pitch then go low then high several times. It sounded like it was going to just stop. For a 500 watt motor it sure seemed to struggle.

Agree with a previous poster, absolutely biased. It's a great mixer. Turn it to face you and the dial is right there. It's so easy and convenient.

Thank you for watching and commenting. We appreciate it. Not biased at all. We run the same test and review on all the mixers. The difference is our experience, whether it's good or bad. We'll let you know if it was a pleasant experience with a capable mixer. Pampered Chef took quite some time to get into the mixer game. As with all their great products, I would have expected to see more from this mixer. Compared to all the mixers we have used, it performed good, but not great. That's all we were showing. There are better options out there.

Motor noise is probably average. The presets like to speed up on their own is a little weird. The beeping is annoying.

It would be no for me, and I have a ton of pampered chef products. Main reason is the dials and setting. Don't need all that, I would rather just turn it on and set the speed how I want. Makes it way too complicated to have to do all those settings. I do like the dough hook and wish my Kitchen Aid 5 quart had the spiral.

Thank you for watching. I think the Artisan's bowl is too short for a spiral hook. I like simplicity in controls. There may be a market for people that want to be guided on what attachment to use with specific speeds. The beeping is not useful. I expected more with the PC name.

A nice cheaper option would be the Cuisinart 6 qts. Precision Master Digital stand mixer. Its on sale until June 8 for $149.99.

For small KA's we like the Classic Plus, especially if you're not going to use it to knead bread. Otherwise, there are tons of cheap plastic body mixers for under $200 that do all three tasks reasonably good. Choosing a good stand mixer is a personal choice.

I do not think it really creamed the sugar and butter on that automatic setting, my Kitchenaid does a better job

You have to admit, it’s an excellent mixer. You are just used to manual controls but had you given the presets a chance maybe you would have been pleasantly surprised just like it happened with the dough. You had it pegged as a fail from the beginning but it proved you wrong. It made a better dough that the kitchen aid with the “C” hook.

Thank you for watching and commenting. We appreciate it. I don't feel it's necessary to to display a dough hook if I'm kneading, unless this is for beginners to help them build their confidence. Once you learn the basic functions of a stand mixer, you would know the speed limits of a dough hook or a whisk. Not a fan of the Artisan's hook. Spiral hooks, such on KitchenAid Pro 600 are designed better for kneading. At the initial release price, there are more capable mixers at a better value.

No thanks . It's a tarted up made in China mixer that is noisy and bounces around way too much. I'd be embarassed to have my name on it. On the other hand you have demo'd some inexpensive made in China that I thought performed really well, quieter, with little to no rock'n rollin and cost a quarter of that piece of crap. You're definitely paying for the name and not the performance with this one. Compare that thing to the little tiny Bosch Compact which outperformed it by a long shot. And one last thing. Nobody needs all those presets and timers etc.and they're counter intuitive in a way and are only going to confuse a new mixer owner even more. If'n I had bought it I'd be returning it.
