This is a very helpful, well-explained tutorial. Even though I’ve tackled many needle and thread projects I’ve avoided zipper replacementx But the other day I was asked to help save a family member’s favourite pair of jeans…so I gave it a try. Granted, it is a fiddly process; however, when the outcome is achieved, it’s oh so satisfying! Thank you, Amy.

Great tutorial Amy! My husband had two jeans where the zipper broke this week. I have never replaced a jeans zipper before and I didn’t have time to do it this week so I handed it to the tailor. But next time I know what to do ☺️

Checking in for future reference. I sewed my first pair of jeans, and was so sure they were going to be a total botch job that I used a regular nylon zipper. They actually turned out fantastic, so now I'm wishing I'd put in a metal zipper. The good news is, they're white, so I won't be wearing them every day, and they're not too tight, so the zipper isn't under much stress.
