Thank you so much for all the information that is throughout your video. Do I have to purchase double sided faux leather when I make earrings? I also purchased the earring hooks that doesn't need a jump ring. I had to go on Amazon to get them. I can't wait to make me a pair for tomorrow.
@AmyRomeu Жыл бұрын
Hi, Joyce! Thank you for your comment! You don't need double sided faux leather to make earrings. I recommend using single sided when cutting with a Cricut. You can put a back on the earrings which helps make them look more finished - I have another video about four ways to put a back on faux leather earrings that you'll find helpful! Also, that's great that you are using hooks that don't need jump rings. I use those a lot myself! I can't wait to see your earrings! :)

@@AmyRomeu I had a chance to watch that video and it was so helpful. I can't wait to try them. Where do you recommend that I get my faux leather from? Ive looked but can't seem to find the best sizing for SVG earrings. It seems when I load my svg files they cut larger then I want but not sure how small to go with them. Is there a standard height size? Love your videos they are amazing :)
@AmyRomeu Жыл бұрын
Hi, Cori! Thanks for your message. All of my earring SVGS should import into Design Space at the correct and optimal size. But for other earrings, I actually go more by width than height. I like to size earrings in the 1 inch to 1.1 inch width range, sometimes a little wider but never wider than 1.5 inches. Then I let the height fall where it may. I hope that helps. :)

Hi, Sarah! I don't remember offhand. You can download the free earring SVGs and bring them into your design program. They will be the correct size and you can see the measurements there. :)

Hi, Reba! Thanks for your comment. Yes, it will! You'll need to turn your dial to "Custom" before the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting will be visible. I have this video that makes the same teardrop style earrings on a Cricut Explore Air 2, if you want to check it out. The earrings are a holiday design, but the teardrop shape and all the steps are the same. amyromeu.com/christmas-earrings-faux-leather-cricut/

Hi, Alicia! Are you asking about earring cards? Some people use business cards and an earring card hole punch to make their own, or you can order earring cards from Etsy or Zazzle. I'm working on a video on all the different options for earring cards, so be on the lookout for it!

Hi, Suzanne! Perhaps I'm not understanding your question. The earring layers are sized differently and appropriately within the SVG file. Are you sure you are uploading the correct file? Thank you.

What dimensions should earrings be in Cricut design space?
@AmyRomeu2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Jeannie! Any of my earring patterns should pull in at the correct size. But if you are creating your own earrings, I focus on the width as the most important dimension - I prefer 1 to about 1.25 inches wide, with a max width of about 1.5 inches. Earrings wider than this can touch the side of the face which you don't really want. Of course some people like very large and bold earrings, but generally speaking, the above width is a good guideline for standard earring sizes. In Cricut Design Space, before you adjust the width of your earring shape, be sure the lock is ON above your size menu in the menu panel. Adjust the width and the height will adjust proportionately. I like the height to be a max of about 2.25 inches. Of course you can go longer or shorter than that if you want. :)

@AmyRomeu2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Julie! Do you mean to search for materials that you want to use to cut? That's inside of Design Space, after the mat preview screens, and the Explore Air 2 uses that page. For faux leather, you'll need to turn your dial to custom first to see it.
