Just an idea. You could use one of the empty abott bottles you have and cut open the nutricia bag pour in the formula, close it up, and use the abott pump like normal. Since the bag is so small, you don't have to worry about the formula going bad.

Madison that’s a really good idea! But I’m not sure it would work because it has to be sterile.

Thinks it’s a good idea like if I couldn’t get the giving set to work I probably would have tried that 🙏🏼

Actually tube feed is not a sterile thing. The GI tract is not sterile so tube feeding doesn't have to be done sterile. In the Us we use cans or cartons of formulas and we pour it in a bag

Tube feeding isn't sterile as it's going into your digestive tract so it doesn't need to be sterile. As someone else mentioned in the USA they pour the feed into the formula bags rather than getting pre-packaged bags x

What is it about certain feeds you don’t tolerate? Aussie questions for you, I have lots lol What part of Australia are you moving too? One of my old school friends just moved to Perth :( Why are you going to Oz? Are you moving there forever? How are you handling all your health care once you leave? Have you had to find Doctor’s before you go, or will you get referred to Doctor’s once you’re over there? Will you have to pay for all your health care and medication once there? Sorry so many questions. I find it all so interesting. You’re so brave for making this move x

I'm on Nutricia feeds (I'm in Scotland) but I have a fibre feed so mine is Nutricia Nutrison energy multi-fibre. It's so odd seeing the colour of the Nutricia feed in your video as mine is a lot darker! I think because your one is peptisorb it's probably why it's lighter in colour. I've had no issues with the Nutricia feeds but I don't have GP or a motility issue so anyone with that type of issue will no doubt have a different experience to me. Nutricia are a great company in terms of sending you things and I've had no issues with them in the 2 and a half years I've been with them (although mine is Scotland rather than Australia). I know with my feed you can get different kcal per ml so it might be worth asking about. I'm on 1.5kcal per ml so it's a slightly higher calorie feed than the 1kcal per ml. You can also get different sized bags of feed so I know with Abott you're currently on 1 and a half bottles but with Nutricia they offer 2L bags (certainly of the feed I'm on) so if you're going onto the 1kcal per ml feed it could be worth asking about a bigger bag of feed so you have less delivered every 2 weeks/month. Also the great thing I've found with Nutricia is they offer fortnightly delivery as well as monthly delivery (certainly in Scotland) so it might make it easier just getting fortnightly deliveries in Australia if they offer it in terms of keeping it in the fridge cool as it would take up less room xx
