I have made this pie when I was a new bride and continued to make it for my children, & now my for my grandchildren. I also make it with limeade concentrate. It is an excellent pie for the summer or anytime in south Texas.

I just love these icebox pies! My little sis makes these every holiday, but she does them without the cream cheese. Personally, I love the cream cheese. My kids like me to make chocolate icebox pie, which is just instant chocolate pudding with only 1 1/4 cups milk instead of 2 cups, and cool whip or whipped cream in a graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust. They love it, and it's so easy! Happy birthday, John! God bless!💕

@@amyslouisianakitchen I found them but I seemed to be a magnet for controllers. Only one ☝️ was not controlling. The first one. I was 17 and he was 31 and in the Navy stationed near Chesapeake, VA. It scared me, the age difference and his being on the ship for months at a time, but I love him to this day. The next two 👎. The last one I loved. Very jealous and too controlling. He shot himself and was on a vent for a few months and then caught Covid and died 12/20. He never married and I was not going to risk that kind of pain again. So here I am. We parted in 1995. I wasted 3 years grieving over him. Years I can never get back. As much as I don’t need it, I would love to be in a dumpling coma! I don’t even want chicken in it. I’m a carb addict! 😂 wouldn’t it be fun to have a girl talk? But with all your good cooking friends you’d never get finished! 😊 I keep thinking I will write you a letter. I’m having a much better day today. If I could just breathe better….took Presley for grooming. He’s so cute. Gotta get back to try to do a load of 🧺 laundry (small). Can’t do a large load. So I’ll just continue listening to B. J. Thomas, God rest his soul. My favorite singer (and Elvis stands alone…he doesn’t count) died the 5th of this month. Judith Durham of the Seekers. They were before your time and I was only 14. I didn’t find them until 2016. I listened to them last night and was just sad. My jaws are getting tired…lol! Have a good evening, my sweet friend. @@amyslouisianakitchen I made homemade pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting over the weekend. If you dab the pumpkin puree with paper towels and get most of the moisture out, the bars will be more dense turned out great also only use the egg yolks.
