This is a wonderful video! I often find myself with a disconnect between my dreams, and what to actually DO on a daily basis. I like the idea of brain dumping all the tiny actions that will get me to my goal. It makes them much less intimidating 😊

I really need this! I have add and depression issues. I got sober about 4 years ago and while I have made great improvements. I still don’t plan anything out really. I really want to live my life with intention and purpose. I think watching your videos will help me reach my goals. I’m purchasing a planner today so that maybe I can become a happier person.

Amy Landino, you are the funniest lady. I am only 1.28 mins into this video & it looks like you are not only going to be entertaining but provide value as well. I’m not a newbie to business but I am a newbie to getting all stuck in my own “business”. I love it when the Universe provides us with exactly what we need when it’s really important. I have put aside October for a full review of 2023, what still needs to get done for the year to finish on a high & mapping for 2024. I have started mapping all of this out of my head but felt a little cluttered & fuzzy. I had just finished journaling this morning & doing some Innercising on Procrastination when up popped an iPhone Photography notification. 😮 When I clicked on it 😮“distraction”😊 it didn’t land so I went looking for it & found an attractive image (your video - “distraction”) 😂 but it turned out to be a good distraction. I’m looking forward to keeping in touch some more. 🎉❤

Amy, this was just what I needed! Thank you so much!! 😍I hope you don't mind me sharing a mom regret with you? Please don't make "fulltime daycare" a goal. That's a big regret for me as I realized later how much our littles need us and not strangers at a daycare. 🙏❤

Daycare is not strangers, kids get to know and love their daycare providers! Each kid is different and full time daycare works super well for a lot of families. I understand if it didn't work for you but I wouldn't assume it'll be the same for others.

I agree. It didn’t make sense to me to have someone else raise my daughter, as good as the daycare provider was. That’s why I left my full-time job and homeschool. I don’t regret my decision at all!❤

@@lizeeveeI’m not even a parent and I would avoid day care as much as possible because of all the true crime I watch and all the evil workers who are day care workers. You just never know. Same fear with nursing homes! lol
@Lauren-i8i
@Lauren-i8i Жыл бұрын
@@lizeeveeMy daughter works at the top daycare in our area (rated 5 stars.) The workers more often than not ignore the children and stand in groups talking, (My daughter is the only one paying attention to them. One day 19 little ones tried to hug her and she almost fell over.) Kids call her ‘Mommy.’ If she wasn’t there the kids would largely be ignored by the workers. The one time workers show up is to demand the kids look like they’re doing crafts even when they’re special needs & don’t want to. They don’t care how upset they get while they set up the pictures for the website. Daycare is a revolving door of changing faces so be prepared once your kid is attached - they usually leave due to low pay and / or hating their job. No one will ever love your kid like you do. If you were a child and scraped your knee, would you rather run to your Mommy or a daycare provider?

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand what the hell the difference between a proactive and reactive task? Lol
@AmyTV
@AmyTV Жыл бұрын
Hi! No problem I wish I explained it a little better for you. Basically the reactive column is to help you think of the things that tend to hold you back in your individual situation that usually sound like excuses. Like: “I don’t have enough help with my kid.” Or “People come into my office and bother me too much for me to focus.” Or “I always get thrown off when something changes in my schedule and I don’t know what to do next.” Or something like that. When you have your “reasons” why things don’t get done, coming up with the tasks that help you solve for those reactive moments will help your plans get executed a little more effectively. Is that more helpful?

Not sure if this helps. Reactive is your response to a situation. You didn't initiate the situation, which makes it a reactive action. You may feel like you have no control. A proactive action is something you initiated. You have total control.

Thank you so much for this video. I think I have been totally reactive with several things. This definition is from google, not sure if this is what you meant, but it definitely helped me to understand better: “The definition of reactive and proactive is as follows: Reactive : Reacting to the past rather than anticipating the future. Proactive: Acting before a situation becomes a source of confrontation or crisis.”

For some families, FT daycare is the only option. For myself, the goal was 2-3 days max. Kids love to socialize, sure, but more than that, they need caregivers that love them so they can feel safe and secure enough to explore the world- and no daycare provider will ever love your baby the way you love your baby. FYI get ready for CONSTANT colds/flu, hand/foot/mouth disease, lice, separation anxiety, etc. Take it from a mom of 4 kids age 8-20: it’s over VERY FAST. Take whatever time you can get with them. Very soon baby will be in school and you can work to your heart’s content. It’s like you said- you can’t have it all at the same time. The career will be there later. The baby won’t.

Thoughts?

I want my first year to go well since i had previously flunked out of a diff uni. BUT if my health is not at least somewhat priority then my grades will suffer. I dont know what kind of action statement i need or how specific i should get. A goal like good grades/gpa doesnt seem like enough since that was my goal last year too and i got a very bad gpa.
