Turns out that Lafayette was able to afford his 4 room house (with a bed in every room he said) by getting involved with the local river rats that control the rivers by St Louis, including the Mississippi. Pirates are a problem here and have been since the 18th century.

I just realized that the fishermen told Ron to sneak up when getting revenge and not to barge in loudly declaring that he was there for revenge...then later Ron did exactly the opposite of what he told him to do and barged in declaring he wanted a duel.

I am very happy that Ron survived and was able to make it back to justine. Thankfully after exposing the truth, Lucy was able to accept Ron and agree on his terms which is a win win for everyone involved. That older French fisherman was a God send too with offering Ron some land to live on. He saved Ron's life and provided him with some items to help him on his way like leggings and moccasins. Ron was very fortunate for sure.

Social history is very interesting, just as much as cooking and brings both issues to life. The acting may be a little nervous, but that’s not important.
