My family went here in 2008 for my graduation. The place was beautiful and pretty cheap to get a cabana. It never seemed like the cabanas were practical, the wind would blow and the canvas would be hitting the frame the whole night. I am not surprised to see them torn to shreds. The beaches wree amazing. The snorkeling off the cove beach was particularly good. Hard to believe the land has been sitting idle for a decade.

That's so cool! The beaches are still amazing, and we met people snorkeling even now, apparently there are so many turtles that come right up to you!

Honeymooned here in August 2009 and it was totally AMAZING. So terribly gutted that things went awry

If I may, as I have some experience: please find out WHY it was abandoned before considering buying it. There might be a valid reason that turns out to be a blocker for you as well.

@otis151 Absolutely, if we were serious about it we would do our due diligence. But we didn't get that far, it was just a thought that it may be a cool project!

Actually i was there 10-11 years ago, and it was not abondoned. We swam there, we drank some beer. There was a cave in the right side in the ocean. What a coincedence :)

I think it closed around 2010, so you were among the last to visit! Must have been a cool place 😊

It was abandoned by the owners and the Govt took over and allowed locals to rent, they became untenable and there was a legal battle over who owned it and responsible for the clean up and repair. Owners ditched them. No one wants to stay there.
