Harley Benton truly show you how the other brands are ripping you off
@janminor11726 жыл бұрын
jackdaniel holt-ellison nonsense. The only reason they are cheaper than others (in a similar quality region) is that they are an inhouse brand of thomann, thus saving on retail, distribution and marketing. Other brands depend on that, of course, because not everyone has one of the biggest online retailer behind them. Other entry level brands are probably manufactured in the same factories but once retail and distribution take their share, the price is (just a wild guess) at least 30% higher.

Jan Minor workers and salesman also need to be paid, so you are right.
@mettrose4 жыл бұрын
no not really. I mean yes for few parts in price politics they do. BUT Harley Benton is a house Brand of motherfucking Europes biggest Music and Instrument Salesman. They dont need Marketing that crazy. Their service also has no stop between repair and shop. there are no 80 ohter trading steps that make it more expensive. Its just that "cheap" because of one thing: Saving tradelines. for example: saving 10€ in proces on about 5 Tradingstops will make 75 out of it.

Wrong, The Chinese use either slave labor or pay pennies on the dollar for labor. If you want an American made Fender then you pay American wages. Simple. Same th9ing for any Western nation. Once the Chinese put their competition out of business things wont be so cheap and you wont have a job to pay for them. Why don't they teach economics anymore. It should be mandatory.

Congratulations - HP is the first that got the BRAINS to schow the lowest tones, because if I buy a 5 string Bass, the LOWEST tones are interesting, not a tremendous solo on the highest frets :-) Operation gelungen, Patient gestorben: Next days I will order the 6 string version :-)

Seriously, thank you Henning for making a review of this bass. I've been coming to Thomann website to look at it for months. I needed to see a relevant video about it.

This thing actually has a nice rear pickup tone. That's cool because most basses don't solo the back pickup that well. It's thick sounding.
@Ucceah4 жыл бұрын
amazing bang for the buck, and it plays perfectly out of the box. (not a given for cheap instruments!) PS: "pivot bridge" means, that the saddle itself, and the "sled" that can be adjusted back and forth, are two pieces, connected by a pivot.

I've looked at countless reviews on Harley Benton basses, so it's not surprising that i didn't learn a lot here. But there is one very important thing that i learned, and that's the existence of garden roombas ? When did lawn mowers become sentient ?

A VERY good bass for an active. So many much more expensive basses sound really clanky with active tone circuits! This 1 is full and warm, & thumps, not clanks! Respectable slapping Henning, but you are NO Les Claypool!

Harley Benton are a good economic brand that recently is improving its quality and wait and see in a few years they will be bashing out the Squiers for good.Then anyone will buy Harley Benton.Their basses btw are pretty decent,Especialy the PB50 which I bought it's a killer bass for the money it's actually a gift.

Sometimes it feels like the bass sound is clipping (before the drive). Was it too loud on the input or is it just the bass electronics?
@imdidi56953 жыл бұрын
Very high output pups, but since the bass has such a low price you should upgrade the pups for something better without breaking the bank

That's very nice. Do you think you could talk to your friends at Thomann and ask them for a Canadian distribution center? :-) Will you be making any more lesson videos?

Hey man, love your videos! But how about reviewing Harley Benton's new fan-fret 8 string? It looks orgasmic to me, and I'd very like to hear an opinion from a pro (atleast on build quality)
@irrsinnrainer6 жыл бұрын
Wow, I think soundwise this competes with your Sandberg. And it really looks beautiful except for the glossy neck. I don't like glossy necks on my basses. But that could be fixed. Maybe I should try the six string version as I always wanted to have a six string bass.
@leocomerford6 жыл бұрын
I'd worry a bit about tuning stability with that synthetic fretboard. Natural wood is incredibly good at not expanding and contracting along the grain (it does it in other directions instead). Maybe it's not a problem if the ebonol layer is much thinner than a traditional wood fingerboard? (I am not an expert on anything.)
@rickeyryan3036 жыл бұрын
Most fretboard are now, and the synthetic fretboard they are using will never ever expanded..
@australier2636 жыл бұрын
Think HB changed the pots. So pickup select is down strings in the middle and high EQ ist on right side near body end. Greetings 😎 to you....funny man! Looks a bit like an Ibanez BT Bass! It's really a high class bass for low money. Sounds beautiful and is a full working machine. Try it out! Neg. about... no S/N, some bad paintings, but never influences the sound and you've to fit it yourself! Nice Vid grazy Henning! But you're not able to play deep strings! 🤣😅👍😊

@karoline.9726 жыл бұрын
Levent Vahdettin Just experiment and try to find the right knob for the frequencies. Play something, let the note/string ring and turn the knob. : ) Yeaaah, I know: "That's what she said!"... :' D
@kevinbrown30823 жыл бұрын
The control layout does not make any sense at all. Such a confusing layout. Would make more sense to have the volume and blend controls as the top two nobs because, in my playing, those two are the ones I need the easiest access to. Them the lower three nobs would be treble, middle and bass. Did I miss the part where the active was switched off and the passive tones explored. I have the 6 string version, cheap, used EBay find. I’m not impressed to be honest. The bridge is a bugger to set up. Twin truss rods are a bit tricky. Trying new strings later. Going with rotosound in the hope they ease the string tension over the supplied from the factory strings.

Absolutely not. The B string is like a piano - solid and clean. All of the low end distortion is in the recording. My 7 string version is distortion-free. The 18 volt preamp guarantees excellent headroom.
