2:00 i think there is a little mistake, her talent gives her ATK modifier not damage modifier, and it will be calculated before DEF, while damage modifier is applied after considering DEF. So ATK modifiers will always give more increase in damage unless enemy's DEF is 0.

there are 2 times of multiplicatives in the damage formula, one goes before defense, so you are right, that's how it works, the other goes after defense, which Ela also has in her s3 mine, fragile. I would call both of those damage modifiers. She doesn't have any +atk in her s1 and s2, which is the kind of buff that gets added instead of multiplied

And the fact you also warn people about caveats to interpreting data. A+ And I've always enjoyed flexible support units, so I will be looking forward to testing all her skills. Maybe it would be nice if you can give a moment in the reviews to also consider the different game modes (IS, CC and generally) to add that aspect, unless you are waiting on module for that. Still a before and after could be useful :)

Small correction, it's a 160% ato multiplier with pots, normally it's 150% and 170% with module, 180% with module and pots

I like Ela performance, but at the same time she reinforces my opinion that marksman snipers are such an outdated archetype since she does everything they do but better. Overall a solid unit with decent damage and good team wide utility with her fagility, glad i got her with the free 10 pulls.

Ela does like 7k dps with s3 on 0 defence enemy while mine is active. Counting the whole offtime makes a huge difference.

It really does, that's why I prefer talking about skill damage potentials, but the way trapmasters work makes it awkward to draw any comparison outside of full cycle DPS

Well, Ela s3 is not a good buff target. She has atack bonus on her s3. meaning buffs like warfarin s2 or stainless s1 are hiting diminishing returns. They are around 50% damage increase, good but not ideal. aak is good for her s3, if she can survive. I talk about it specifically, as ela s2 is just better buff target. she can survive aak buf on her own meaning more slots for buffs/debuffs. and she does not hit diminishing returns on atk buffs. And has an enormous flat def ignor, good for external fragile debuff

She is a better buff target than MOST units and has fragile + T2 Idk what you mean here at all. She deals all that damage in 20 seconds wich makes her ideal for buff setups

I did the same. I think it's worth it. Ella may never come back and you can always get Wis later, plus honestly the game is so playable f2p with 4* and whatever 6* you chance. My low spend/f2p philosophy of these types of games is to pull what you like, and play what you randomly get. I've always been a top player doing it for much less than whales.

yes, her basic attacks are physical damage, and they are in the calc. If you want to exclude the basic attacks and count only the mines, her DPS won't change, but it will drop a bit more, since she gets one every 12 seconds

Almost certainly not, from a meta standpoint. Ela does the job she's intended for by default. Meanwhile the pulls you put into this banner are pulls you can't spend on Logos and Wisadel pots.

Pots aren't important in general but in ela's case her pot 3 is good to have since your going to have 4 mines at deployment and you can use 3 mines with both of her first 2 skill activation (cause you'll get 2 with her first skill activation) and have the max damage output. Again it's not really important but if your going for pots and you are a leviathan pot 3 is the goal I would say.

She is very, very good. But a lot of her power comes from her module, which you won't be able to get for a long time, and 6 stars are super expensive to upgrade. So the answer is yes, but only if you have the resources to spare, which as a new player, you probably don't :/

No because she's expensive to build she wants her module fully upgraded that's why I'll advise you to go for other ops instead you can build her when you progress into the game Edit: you should focus on your 3 to 4 stars as a new player because they are cheap and reliable most stages can be beaten with them but sometimes you'll have to borrow a 6 star

Tbh she's a good sniper-wannabe even without the module. The module adds higher crit rate and silly amount of flexibility to her placement, but she's still usable even without that. My suggestion would be try to E2 your first 4* as soon as possible, note that it doesn't have to be Myrtle (flagbearer) despite what people say, and then try to borrow someone's Ela to test things around. If you like her gameplay (or just like her as a character in general), then feel free to build her.
