Well, in regards to asbestos in mining lamps, back then miners was dealing with Miner's Lung from inhaling coal dust. Pretty much adding asbestos would be like chugging Draino and following it with a hemlock chaser. The asbestos would be the least of their worries, the bigger worry would be either explosion, cave in, asphyxiation, drowning from water ingress, in some really deep mines being cooked/boiled alive, or getting Miner's Lung.

Why do you wear gloves for the index cards but not the actual manuscripts?
@lukacrnomarkovic81725 жыл бұрын
Because they are more clumsy with the gloves, and could tear the paper.
@mcnultyssobercompanion63725 жыл бұрын
And they're magic.
@WhatAboutTheBee5 жыл бұрын
The gloves are just a theatrical device for the index cards. Brady's video moment. "The gloves of destiny" he calls them. Normally, those gloves are used when handling physical objects, like wood, metal and glass. They reduce sensitivity, so when turning pages of manuscripts, tears are more likely with gloves on. So they take them off for manuscripts. Likely they are vigorously washing their hands prior to touching the manuscripts (off camera).
