i agree that revealing max as an AI has kind of made people forget that there are catfish in the game. It would have been more interesting to not say anything,and reveal it until the end of near the end.

I do wonder if part of the reason why Max got so far is because of how isolating the shows set up seems to be. Like how lonely people get addicted to those AI Friend apps.

Funny I just watched a video about Randy Travis using AI to release a new song since he can’t sing or speak since 2013 because of a stroke. It is a very moving story but AI is scary.

Maybe I wouldn’t do this if I was in the actual situation but I was thinking about this ai on a meta level and I think there’s no way Netflix would let an experimental AI inpersonate a black a person and use AAVE. For that matter, Netflix couldn’t use any person belonging to a special group or belief system bc what if it engages in stereotypes? It would be a really bad look for Netflix. The only person the AI could’ve been was an inoffensive white man.
