Nobody does a Friday Night better than Alan and his Beautiful Beautiful Band - plus opener Adam Baldwin - and there are few places in all of Canada more beautiful or impressive than the Orpheum to be doing that Friday night-ing in. An exciting, energetic, electric performance for a crowd that was ready and willing for all of the above. On a night that was close to four years to the day from Alan's last big Van City show right before the world shut down, this night definitely felt like a Welcome Home. Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver BC. Went to their concert the other night in NC with my dad and didn't know much about them at all going in. Legitimately one of the best concerts I've been to, the kind of performance that makes your soul happy!

So far, starts right on time at 8 pm, should be done between 10:30-11 pm (depends on how much Alan talks). I would have loved to come to both Trail and Cranbrook - saw GBS in Cranbrook something like 20 years ago, but have not seen them (or anyone else, I don't think) in Trail. Have a wonderful time!

Wow! I'm a very proud Newfoundlander, born & raised in town (now anyone from home will know that when you say "town" it means St. John's). However like most, I moved to Ontario and started a family with 3 wonderful boys, a beautiful, supportive & funny wife and two dogs. I've been going thru a really difficult time in my life recently and I find as I get older (54) that I'm a lot more let's just say emotional. I had the pleasure of seeing GBS many years ago in Toronto which I loved so much but this evening, watching Alan & his fantastic, talented band has brought a lot of tears..really really happy tears of wonderful times, families, friends and my own dear loving family. I long for the day when I hope I can bring my entire family to see a show with you Alan & the band. This has brought a great deal of joy to me this evening and reflecting on some wonderful memories. Thank you soooo much for all the wonderful music and books and I can't wait to see you all sometime soon.....I hope! I really needed this tonight as it has been an emotional rollercoaster for me and it is good to know that everything will be alright. ❤❤❤
