An ALICE solution for carrying M1 Garand En Bloc clips and Thomson magazines

you can run those pouches with a cardboard insert and use mauser, mosin and m14 stripper clips.

Thanks so much! Because of your video, I was able to track down a company that sells the enbloc pouches. I want to mount them on my plate carrier.

I was served in the Greek army, but did not catch the M1 and SMG pouches! They were allotted back then in the national guard when I was serving. The H Harness copy of the US 1956 load pack set its called M71 and we used them with two 7.62 NATO 20rd magazine pouches for G-3 or FN FAL. each pouch can hold 2 magazines. the back pack also called M71. The old M71 load harness were made by cotton web, the newer sets are little different and made by nylon webbing. in the 1950-1980 the greek army used M1A1 Thomson, M3 Greese gun and also sten guns. I am betting this SMG pouches made basically for the M3 but could used for the others too. the belt was made from a copy of the American for the harness and called AT belt. I added the ALICE to MOLLE adapters I found on Amazon so I can make a battle belt out of mine. I still need a belt though so it is not completed. I also bought the Thompson pouches also and tried UZI, Colt SMG, and CZ Scorpion EVO mags and found they sink down into the pouch. I cut up my old green army socks to stuff the bottoms to keep the mags higher in the pouch.

How do you manage to find new pouches that haven't been modified? All the ones I find have always had something cut off of them.

Luck plays a part--and I do find quite a few with stuff cut off. But I usually try to buy as close to NOS condition as possible.

It's supposed to ride high to keep it from banging on your thighs the magazine pouches were designed to be worn in the front for easy access it's kind of similar to the chest mounted rigs of today to modify it and ride it real low would not be advantageous.
