Fantastic rig mate! There is no such thing as a bigger cameras only beginner filmmakers. Adding a rig has purpose! People talk about stabilisation lack, etc, but with a rig with handles this helps stability of handheld shots. The battery life issue people talk about, well get a v-mount battery if you want to shot longer, etc. Great video, gained another subscribe from me mate!

You can't be a filmmaker as film is not used in electronic digital cameras. You are a movie/video creator. Learn the difference. All you people still using the term film have yet to realize you don't use film. Film is a long plastic strip with emulsion that reacts to exposure to light. You use an electronic sensor and images are stored on a memory card. Big difference.

Wonderful rig, I'd suggest you find some bike inner tube or other sort of thin rubber to add between the arca and cheese plates, since you only got one screw for it it will loosen during use (trust me) and one more suggestion would be to buy an angled HDMI adapter for the monitor so the whole rig is more flush on the sides (maybe add it even on the camera port as well) 🙃

Outstanding, Thomas. I came across your very first video with the more expensive rig for the ZV-E10 and thought I would watch this one also. Two weeks ago I was considering selling one of my 3-DSLRs...they have served me well. Then I decided to have some fun and try building a rig. I ended-up with a Neewer universal cage kit with rods, etc. It works but the cage is so over-bearing (especially on the sides of the camera). Question: On your rig set-up, can the monitor be mounted so it is facing outward (i.e., so I could use it to record myself)? Before I take the plunge into the more expensive E-mounts, I want to try the ZV-E10 as I'm restarting my channel. Blessings to you.

So the zve10 cannot export raw video to the ninja V. That feature is reserved for their cinema line as far as i know. It’s restricted by the micro hdmi.
