Amazing pearls of advice. We live in a very capitalist society and don't want to give more and it is habitually grained in us to persistently negotiate, even once a price has been agreed. Living in a capitalist and bloodthirsty war-mongering economy, nothing is better than then Islamic finance. It creates a balance. We don't know the true value of wealth and most of our teachings are influenced by Western money theories, which in large part is not viable.

The last hadith is familiar to me, I have heard it before or similar to it. In the one I heard the companion didn't originally wanted to sell but later decided to sell the camel to the prophet how ever when the camped before entering the city and the prophet had a conversation with the companion he discovered that he was very poor so the prophet decided to return the camel to him and also let him keep the money

Yes that's true! Which is why I negotiate and bargain first, (which is also a Sunnah) But once we reach an agreement on the price, I let go of some money by choice. Like they were asking for 500 and I said 250 and then they said something like, "below 350 is not worth selling." Yet later they agreed to 300. I will then smile and give them 350 even though they agreed to sell for 300. Now this way I know I was not fooled, since I know the market price for the item. And I also show some generosity according to my budget, because I value the seller as a human being. And hence you follow both ways of the beautiful Sunnah of our Rasul Allah (Sallal’laahu’aleyhi’wa’ sallam) Hope that helps...

I once used to have the same question... It is NOT interest, if there had been no pre-agreed condition to return more that what had originally been given, and if there are no expectations of getting any more than the original amount. Hence, it is a gift, or a token of appreciation for the favour of extending a loan and thus definitely worth emulating

Sir it goes much above my head. Hadith are indeed for our betterment and we must follow. But tell how to put these in real world business? I mean have you consider the context then and now? Giving extra benefit is called discounts these days and that's OK but business has costing if we starts giving products as well as the money we certainly broke capital. Yes that's also we can do but that would be a Help or Gift. Business is a tool through which we earn, yes business doesn't give us, only Allah gives us but this is Darool Asbaab and we need to take some tool...Our Beloved Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is a Prophet...what He (SAW) saw no one can see...May be He knew the intension of Jabir RA but we can't see our customers...after getting Prophethood did Our Nabi (SAW) continue to trade? That's I don't know and I want to know. Please don't get angry on me. I do have respect for you and every brothers who tries to call us to do good, call us towards straight path. But here I think you need to study more and please emphasize on business.

Alhamdulillah such great question and attention there brother. Let's discuss!. I think islam push the boundaries of so called "tools" in order for human to hope more what from the side of Allah. The tools gives us an estimation and such calculation, but what's from Allah's side are multplied more than that (in Dunya AND akhirah). The last part of Surah 2 talks a lot more than this. Pay our attention to what Allah compared 2 types of businesses and transactions in surah 2:275 and 276. How Allah compared the usury transactions and sodaqoh/infaaq transaction, Allah said He blesses the sodaqoh more than the usury. So when we do transactions in islam, we do hope for profits, but not only from the transaction itself but from Allah also!. How magnificent is that Masya Allah!. Imagine what have the non believers missed from this!!! We reap so much more in following Allah's religion.

Not asking for a discount is one thing but recommending to not ask for it is totally another, you took out something he SAW didn't do, and are recommending which he didn't recommend, yes there's a Hadith that benefit your momin brother when trading, but my brother can ask me for discount and that too is a way of benefiting. Your inference is the thing I'm questioning! My point is Nabi Muhammad SAW never said Janazah of an indebted person but he never said that don't say Janazah of such a person. He explicitly didn't do that and yet he didn't recommend. I hope you are getting my query
