I have been to this cafe back in the late 60s. Then it was customary to call the "buffet" - as in a movie or theater. Then no one here heard about the "cappuccino" - there was just coffee with milk. But there were sausages with stewed cabbage. Coffee, cakes, buns and so on. A cake similar to cheesecake is called "bird milk". It has been popular with us since the time of the USSR.

I have known this buffet for many years. I used to come here many times to have a coffee. Back then it was cheap, intended mainly for metro drivers who changed at this Arbatskaya station of the Filevskaya line after their shift. And now this buffet has been declared a relic of the Soviet era and the prices have increased accordingly.

Strange. There are no urns in the subway. You can't see the workers who are constantly cleaning up the garbage. But for some reason, everything is clean all the time. A paradox... Apparently Russians just don't litter, or throw their garbage unnoticed right on the rails or into the pockets of careless passers-by ...))) )))
