for fans of this album - try jeremy enigk’s album return of the frog queen. it actually predates ITAOTS by two years and foreshadows much of its sound and vibe, even the lyrics are similarly surreal and dreamlike, with a very majestic, whimsical, rustic sort of vibe. the songs feel like strange fairytales or fables much like this album

okay... cool video. It's nice that I've learn about the lucid dreams and reading of Ann Frank's book by the lyricist. But.... I think the lyrics, and how they relate with the music, could have been explored more in depth. HOW HEARTBREAKINGLY sad and beautiful it is all. "Two Headed Boy" is probably the most beautiful and saddest song I've heard in my life: this whole story of a malformed kid trapped in a glass jar and the main character trying to console him talking about a wonderful future (that might not come) and acceptance and love
