In this video I talk about how you can think through mixing different variations of greens, really emphasizing the chances you get to use other colors to enhance what could otherwise be an "all green" landscape painting.

Fun with the group called “wonders” - that to me is a really interesting theme. What are we attracted to? What wonders do we see?

I like to look on paintings ( and not the Photoshop) so I preferencer when you paint or when you choose to show examples of different artists - thats always fun and interesting - 🎶🧡💙🎵🙏

I'm always left in wonder as to how one gets such a realistically depicted form of artwork, with what I can only assume is not a plein air/alla prima style of painting but was a very methodical possibly "many weeks at the easel" kind of work flow to create such a piece. Especially when photography was merely in its infancy or not even yet imagined, to create such realistic paintings you must need a photographic memory of some sort because of the lengths someone must go through to remember such minute details is purely astonishing to say the least. Maybe an immense tome of all the collected studies the artist gathered from being out in nature is coalesced into the paintings we enjoy today? Who knows! But it is certainly crazy to imagine that's forsure!

Thanks, I don’t have a photographic memory, so it’s not that. I think it’s just years of practice and loving what you’re doing.
