Interesting how ornament is defended by saying: ''not all ornament is decorative or has no function.'' I would say, so what if ornament is decorative and has no other function than bringing 'superficial happiness'. Life is often serious and painful enough. When I pass by a building with a single beautiful ornament, it means more to me than all the serious, pretentious theories of the modernists.

Yes ornaments or any kind of ornamentation isn't bad at all, it's so unfair that because of other influences, they took ornament out of architecture and this is the reason why our architecture of today is ugly.
