I'm actually impressed with her management capabilities. She handled that situation very professionally given the circumstances. She broke down why this was important, explained the opportunities that were available to avoid the incident from happening, and offered a solution. When she felt she was being disrespected, she explained how she felt, explained why, and explained a means to communicate with her allowing what he defined to be his problem to have a solution. Many people in management could take a lesson here. Even if this situation was about clothes, it applies to a wide range of problems that may arise. I'll probably catch slack for this, but that's okay.

+Joseph Simiele - It's easy to be right when you're the only person talking. Like with the keys for example. She seemed to be absolutely right about wanting more keys and that it takes 10 minutes. He only spoke for a few seconds in the confessional later and his reason was perfectly justified. It's not 10 minutes of making copies, these keys had to be ordered.

I'm sure having the cameras around incentivized people to be more aggressive than they normally would be so they could be seen as stern on the show though.

as far as I know, these were particular keys. I worked in a locksmith's shop and I know that it takes some time to make those keys for sure. So if you want a copy, you definitely need to be patient. Hence, it is not his fault but at least he could have explained himself.

Yes. He did send them off the second time he was asked too. It's also mentioned that she made another assistant get the keys because like you said, she didn't know he sent it off to get copied. Now she's going to have to pay for extra keys, because of the miscommunication that she's unaware of at the time in this video. Again, I'll reiterate. I am an assistant too. If my boss sends me a list of stuff to do then I likely need time to ask a lot of questions because it seems easy for the boss to fire off a bunch of nonsensical information in an email. The problem is that leads to questions. Intelligent questions that need to be answered by the boss person. When you go to the boss person they think it is a real imposition that you are there, but truth is you are there to solve all their problems but you need clarification. 5 min. in the morning and 5 min. in the evening is brilliant!! Bosses take note!!! 5 min. 5 minutes. You cannot give 5 minutes to your support staff so they get clarification!!!??? That is like shooting yourself in the foot.

I'm no LIndsay Lohan fan - but to act like she's a prima donna for requesting things be done a certain way is unfair. The reality is, it's his job to be an assistant. That's why she hired him. If he doesn't want to fold clothes or do other things that he believes are 'beneath' him, then he shouldn't have taken the job. She's absolutely correct to call him out on it.

I don't think Lindsay was unreasonable at all. But being a personal assistant, you need to get your attitude in check. Talking back and being dismissive of what your boss is saying is completely unprofessional and you should quit if you're not happy with your job. You may be equals as humans but never forget that you're still the employee and ranked below your boss. I would've fired the man on the spot.

Assistant is lying he didn't get the keys. During the conversation he said give me time and then during his face to face interview he said he had done and he needed to get them picked up. If that was the case why he didn't bring up during the conversation. I don't like how he talks back. He acts like he is the boss.

Meh. This is all fake tension manufactured by the producers and played up for the cameras. I'm sure neither of them is really that invested into the situation. What we have here is a very uninteresting person with an uninteresting issue (clothes organization?) and they have to fill up time and make it look more interesting than it really is. You realize that it takes time to hook up all of the participants with mikes, do lighting and sound checks and schedule people and crew to film this stuff. They meet and plan all of this stuff in advance. Fake, fake, fake.

How is he supposed to do all of these things FOR HER without HER input? It just doesn't make sense. He should have also interjected that the keys were something that required a special order. Also, her calling someone out like that in front of other people, much less cameras, is not going to help him be more productive. There are different ways to get through to someone.

But also like… I feel a personal assistant should have the skill of anticipating needs? He can see all of her clothes out in disarray. Making sure she lives in a clean and organized space seems like a basic expectation that doesn’t really need explanation. Whether he outsources that task or does it himself, that’s his job to handle it. She’s got other, bigger things to worry about, such as her projects and ventures that keep her team paid. I would’ve found a new assistant personally.
