This is the home of a manager of an art gallery, who also handles interior coordination work. The house is located on a hill with a great view, and the sea can be seen in the distance from the corner window of the second-floor bedroom.
Her husband, a grafic designer, was in charge of the design and gardening of the garden. Over the seven years since they moved in, they have gradually created their current environment. Looking around and tending to the garden is a nice change of pace on her days off.
The floor plan is based on a one-story house in an L-shape, surrounding the garden. The few partitions create a sense of continuous space, and the connection to the garden emphasizes the sense of openness.
The tiled earthen floor space, which is the same as the entrance, is divided into two spaces with shelves inspired by Corbusier's design.
The dining room, located at the far end, is close to the garden, and the bench in the open corner, surrounded by jalousie windows, gives the feeling of being on a semi-outdoor terrace.
