As other comments have said, this is just lovely. Everything about the video is inspiring and soothing. And how nice of the couple to let us tour their marvelous garden space that they've spent so long creating. I'm a gardener myself, and plant lover, and very much enjoy seeing others' gardens. As a very small correction, I would like to point out the the plant seen at 11:52 and identified in the subtitles as 'salvia nemorosa' is in fact 'Veronica spicata', possibly the variety called "Royal Candles". I point this out in case someone viewing might want to find the plant and use it in the garden. This is a sun-loving plant. Blooms over a long period starting in late spring, and will bloom one or 2 more times if the flower spikes are cut down when they've finished. It is somewhat drought tolerant after established, as well. My mother is 85, and has been a gardener pretty much all of her adult life. She's my initial introduction to the joys of gardening. She continues tending her garden daily -- watering, weeding, pruning, and just saying hello to the plants and enjoying them. Not only does it give her pleasure, I'm sure it also helps keep her healthy. Gardening is good for our body and soul.

素敵すぎて言葉になりませんね、、🌼 今から15年ほど前、主人の転勤で戸建を借りたところから私のガーデニング好きが始まりました。 自分でも「私ガーデニング好きだったんだ」と驚くほどハマり、、笑 自分でレイアウト設計して、まず小道作りとその途中にガーデンスペース、芝の種植えからスタート、 花々を植える時は毎日が楽しくて一日中庭に出てましたね。 花の種類も沢山覚えましたし、特に宿根草やハーブはハマりました🌿 今は細々と大きめのおしゃれなプランターと大きな鉢中心です。 歳をとるとガーデニングは健康にも良さそうですね。 後々、実家に住むようになったら本格的に庭作りに挑戦したいです🤗

今回も素晴らしい映像ありがとうございます。高齢のご夫婦が63年間コツコツと喜びを持って作られたとのこと また　庭の一番の見頃な時は？の質問に「明日」と答えられたことに感動しました。また　そこにある花を描ける幸福を語られ　お二人の言葉に改めて人の幸福の意味を噛みしめました。バックに流れるバイオリンの響きと　風に揺れる花々がピッタリあっていてこちらも花畑にいるような気分になりました。これからも繰り返しこの映像を見たくなりました。

Can we just recognise the videography? Love how the conversation starts and stops…in the background…the focus is the garden and not the people having the conversation. This is just so beautifully filmed. My idea of what a garden should be. Lush, with structure, interests dotted here and there…just magical, heaven on earth. I’m brand new to gardening…one year now and this has truly inspired me. Soothing and meditative. “Gardening is never work, it’s pleasure and it gives others pleasure too”. “The best day in the garden is tomorrow”. I’ll hold those 2 statements forever in my heart.

子供の頃から、イギリスのお庭が好きです。 日本のわびさびも好きだけど、作りました！というお金持ちの見栄みたいなお庭は安らぎを感じられなくて…。 あとポットで買ってきて植え替えを季節ごとにしてるのもなんか違和感が。 イギリスって自然と共存してる感じがして、料理に使えるハーブも植えたり季節ごとに美しいものをうまく配置して、まるで自然。 森の中に開けた場所があってそこに野花が咲き誇ってるような素敵なお庭ですよね。 見ていて安らぎと愛を感じて幸せな気持ちになりました。ありがとうございます。

One of the things (from eastern Canada) that I love about UK gardening is the walled garden. Absolutely love the stone walls. And of course the age of things, as we are so new compared with the UK and Europe. And so many of the great gardens, employed so many labourers to create vast ponds, or water features. And then of course are the follies. UK reminds me of some sort of fantasy land in many of the gardens. You have such temperate climate that your plant selection is enormous compared to ours. And also the cost of plants is so low compared to us, because you have so many gardening centres compared to a small populous area that has to contend with vast temperature changes and really only 4 months to a growing season. Beautiful is all that I can say.

A wonderful, enchanting, relaxing and quietly educational video. The garden took your breath away and removed you from the trials and tribulations of daily life. A superb choice of musical accompaniment, as are the words used in the subtitles, so poetic and fitting. Lovely too, to hear Ann and Charles speaking, such an interesting couple. Very hard to believe their ages, 90 and 92! Another beautiful, calming piece of work.....Congratulations !!

素敵な庭ですね。現在私は常夏と言われる島に住んでいて、優しい色合いの花や季節の花などに飢えていて心癒される映像でした。 家の主のご夫妻も本当に豊かな聖粥を満喫されていて、こういう年の取り方をして、いきたいという見本のカップルでした。

素敵としか言いようのないお庭ですね。庭というより生活も含めてそのものが芸術になってるようです。こんな人生を送れたら素敵だな～と思いますけど、ハードルはそうとう高いかな（笑）私が初めてイギリスに行った時、ロンドン郊外の一軒家が売りに出されててそこも素敵な庭付きだったのを思い出します。昔はヨーロッパ移住を夢見ててこんな家に住みたいなと思いつつ値段を見てビックリ！！とんでもない金額でした。当時は全然歯が立たない値段。あれから長い年月が過ぎて今は買う経済力がつきましたが、海外に住む難しさも知ってしまいました。人生難しいものですね。それでもいつかは少しでも家族と一緒にスコットランドに住むことを夢みてます。

What a lovely video. The owners seem so calm, talented, and civilized. Whoever operated the camera did a lovely job. I appreciated the labeling of the plants, just there were some without labels I would have liked to know. Overall a great way to spend time looking.
