I spent the rest of that year and the next saying "Do you think if she'd lived, Alma Cogan would have become Prime Minister?" at random moments to wind up classmates. Missing Victoria. What a talent! Glad so much of her material was recorded.

I was privileged enough to see Victoria live at the Albert Hall many years ago, I still remember her comparing childbirth to pushing a sofa through a mouse hole. Very funny lady.

I was lucky enough to see her at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Don’t remember seeing this originally, just seeing it now & trying to remember the celebs in the audience.

A masterclass, from the most supremely talented comedic genius, Victoria Wood. I rewatch this and many other shows and performances by this absolute icon of British comedy. Mostly with absolute joy and laughter! But tinged with sadness at her loss, far too soon, and wonder at how much more she would have graced us with.

My dad's favourite he thought she was brilliant. Still brilliant 34 years on. So sad she's passed away too soon.
