I agree with the amazing evolution of technology, but not with the narrators perspective. Leather coifs/cowls were already a thing for centuries as a helmet liner for metal helmets as an insulator/protection technology. This is common reinvention human behavior because we often forget technologies when they're obsolete in our daily lives. Great content and I like your personality! 😂

Legendary Baltimore (yes, Baltimore) Colts quarterback, Johnny Unitas, aka The Golden Arm, was one of the first NFL players to have a worn a face mask his entire career, including high school. He made his debut on October 6, 1956 at Lions Stadium in Detroit after George Shaw went down to injury. Colts center, Buzz Nutter, always swore that as Johnny ran onto the field, Lions weak-side linebacker Sonny Gandee asked, "Who's the pretty boy with all his teeth?" To which middle linebacker Joe Schmidt replied, "I don't know, but let's see if we can change that." Nutter claimed he shouted over the D-line before taking us stance, "Like hell you will!"
