We put electrical wires in conduit. It also helps with protection from pole saws, weed eaters, shovels, pruners, etc. Not sure how I know that 🤣

Looking really nice this fall. We’ve had to rethink and redesign our garden due to the drought and getting older. Looking for shrubs and trees to fill in more. Always seeing new ideas watching your videos. Thank you for sharing🌻

I love the changes you have made over the years. I started following you some time after you put in the moon gate. That wasn't the way I found you, though. If I remember correctly, you posted on GA and I saw yours post and then followed your after chatting back and forth on that comment. That was several seasons ago and I love what you are doing up there in KS!

Such great fall color! Darn squirrels! I understand your frustration, they chewed the beaks off my resin bird statues and the edges of our deck box. It is was it is, but I hope you can solve your lighting issue, good luck!

We had squirrels that ate the wires on my husband's truck. He found out that the wires were coated with soy and that's what they were going for. If you could find wires that weren't made with soy, you might be ok. Beautiful tour!

If I were your neighbor, you would end up calling me "the creepy neighbor lady" because you would most likely find me in your yard too often. LOL LOVE everything you've done, and have started incorporating things you've inspired into my own garden here in NC.

You have such a talent for this and your garden might be my favorite one on youtube. It is so unique and shows all that is possible with an average size yard. Also, didn’t realize NFM had pottery but I guess it shouldn’t surprise me, next time I go I will have to keep an eye out.

I love your garden and videos so much and know you only post once in a long while, so every month or so I check in to make sure I didn’t miss a notification! I love all the mixed materials, the moon gate, the repetition of shapes and colors and how the pathways take you around to all these hidden surprises. It does feel like being in a fairytale,

At 15 minutes, the succulents. They're gorgeous now but if you get freezes, they will die so be sure to bring them inside. That could be what earlier commenters meant. I really love the RR tie "lanterns." Love the burlap curtains too. I've been gardening for over 30 years and I still move plants and find new (old) garden art to incorporate. It's just part of the fun.

19:33 I was looking at your chicken building. Are you planning on leaving your large door open for the birds to come and go? Where you going to install a chicken door? So that the large door doesn’t have to be opened all the time. They do make automated doors with timers that are light sensitive as well. Just set a time as to when the chickens go back to roost. Adjust for daylight change. Chicken owner 10 years now.

It is a good idea to put a wire roof over the coup as well to keep birds of prey and raccoons out.

@ I believe at some point he did mention putting a protective wire cover over the run. When he was building it I think. 🤔
@LittleIowa26 күн бұрын
There is a spray called repel all. You could spray this on your wires or the railroad ties, the only downfall is once it rains you will need to reapply.

You should cut that dappled willow completely back and let it reflush in the spring. It won't skip a beat and it will thicken up for you.
