My mom who btw was full on Italian would add a pinch of sugar. My aunt uses some grated carrot. I opt to just use San marzano tomatoes and that is enough sweetness for me. All that matters is that YOUR family enjoys it not someone else’s. ❤

Oh and I always smile, I have the same cookware and the same induction plate. Not that I cook on it anymore. Oh and I use Cento products whenever I can, they are SO good! Do you use De Cecco pasta? It's a little more expensive but worth every penny.

Sugar Spun, what's the best way to reheat lasagne without drying it out?

HELLO Sam! You KNOW that I will be making this! I was thinking of you just yesterday. I was thinking that we seem to have the same preferences in tastes so I trust you when you say something is good, figuring I will like it too. So far we are batting 1000. 😀 I made your hummus recipe today, in fact I am eating it now with tortilla chips I made from corn tortillas I had around that needed to be used up. Man they are easy and good!

Can you also use ground turkey or ground chicken for this recipe?

Sugar Spun, is silicon bakeware better than conventional and no matter what I do when baking brownies, the outer edge is always over baked. Ugh! Please help ❤

Those small bottles of wine are a good idea for cooking.. but you could also buy an inexpensive boxed wine, I've never had an issue with the boxed one's turning or going bad -- with the spigot they don't ever really get 'opened' no oxygen or ambient bacteria gets in.
@SugarSpunRun Жыл бұрын
I haven't thought of doing that! I will have to test it out. Thanks for the tip! :)

@@SugarSpunRun You can also make your own wine VERY easily with various varieties of juice (with no preservatives) - and doesn't require a lot of special equipment all you need is a cheap air-lock for your jug, a little extra sugar (to boost the final alcohol content), a tsp yeast, and some time - depend on how strong and/or dry you want it, ferment for 2 - 8 months. * - you can just use a cap loosely screwed on for an air-lock. Or a balloon with a pin hole, but the water in an actually air-lock gives you a better visual of the fermentation and the rate the release of CO2 is slowing. ...my homemade stuff costs me about $2 a bottle (750mL)

Pretty much what I put in it too. I also add a small stick of cinnamon while it's cooking. Totally a Greek thing, I think.😂

Interesting. I'll have to give it a shot some time! :)

I probably commit a worse “sin” by adding regular ketchup which adds sugar and gives the sauce a little snap. This is the way my mom cooked it and I can still taste it in my head! I have only used Heinz brand but there are many craft ketchups out there. I’m sure whichever kind one uses will agree with their pallet. Thanks for the recipe!

As long as you like it there's nothing wrong with it! I have never tried using ketchup, I'll have to experiment sometime. :)

WHO ARE WE? I ONLY SEE YOU SO ITS.... I WILL.... NOT WE. ALSO PUT ON A APRON WHEN COOKING . IT WOULD MAKE YOU LOOK MORE CONVENCING THAT YOU ARE A COOK / CHEF.
