On July 14th, 2021, Mathew Duman highlighted a selection of gargoyles & grotesques found throughout the buildings of Yale University’s New Haven campus.
Using original photographs from his book, “An Education in the Grotesque”, he explores the artistic, historic, architectural, and even humorous significance of these decorative sculptures, and their role in communicating the identity of Yale University as a place of learning & enlightenment.
