Aw, it's so sad when they can't tell you what's wrong or going on. If he's having nightmares hopefully they go away. Maybe a night light can help? Also the Glo Worm (or any toy) that lights up in the dark when he hugs it can help too. Those can be a real comfort after their nightmares.

Sending you so much love Mary. I can't begin to imagine what it's like to have a child that is non-verbal. A similar situation happened to someone I know and her son was non verbal for the first few years of his life. Then he started talking and has come on so well after doctors said he'd never speak and has achieved milestones. Hopefully things will look brighter for you soon. Love your videos and thank you as always for being so open about what you're going through. xx

Oh Mary ❤ sending you the biggest hug. Not being able to communicate is really heart wrenching. Especially if poor Gabe is having nightmares or is upset. My little man had night terrors for a while and was quite upset with them. He has a night light but we also got him a yoto player too which he can listen to stories or relaxing music on. Perhaps something like that would help soothe him back to sleep after a nightmare? Motherhood is a rollercoaster of emotions. You’re doing an amazing job x

Very happy to see you getting support from a brand like Hello Fresh, you cannot pour from an empty cup and it is good to see you enjoying nourishing meals so you can keep giving to your clients and your family. Not sure if Gabe has a little night light or soundscape to help him sleep through the night? I know my anxiety hits hard at night so for me having something like a dodow light or brown noise/gentle music to sleep to helps me calm down and fall back to sleep if I do wake up. Sending good vibes and sweet dreams to all of you. 💛

It's so ok to get upset we deal with so much as paprents especially when we have children with needs. I do it often when I'm totally not expecting too but its ok we have to let it out or we would go mad. My son is selective mute we use communication in print widget. My husband is a SEN teacher and I was an LSA in a special school if you need any help let me know. Look after yourself xx

Im on a very similar journey ,Gabe and my lo one who is also non verbal are about a week apart , and I totally relate to the emotions being so close to the surface, especially through times that highlight the harder moments , the walk at nursery really relates ! Just a huge reminder that there's so many people on here seeing you being a fab mum and always doing things in the best favour of your little ones !! Also so excited for you with the salon and frickin love them new piercing bits ! So fricken stylish and I'm so f**ckin glad for the relatable content ! Mary, you are doing so well. Tears are okay. It's a cleansing purge type of thing. Your salon looks amazing (as did that cut). Getting a second chair in could mean you can get someone else in to rent that chair and bring in more clients and income. Never a bad thing.

Sending love, hugs and comfort your way!!!! I’m a behaviour analyst and work with mostly autistic and non verbal children. The best advice I could give you is to speak to his nursery, seek out a speech and language therapist or ABA services with a focus on teaching a functional communication. He may not be using his voice (YET!?) but there are so many other modes he could use from sign to PECs or a electronic talking system like Proloquo2go. Happy to chat privately if your looking for anymore advice 🥰

My heart breaks listening to you because I totally understand. Getting a double bed in my sons room so me and my husband could take turns in sleeping with our son when he needed us and using visuals. This is my no means me telling you what to do just sharing what helped us! Big hugs to you xxx

Have you had a look at baby sign language… may help Gabe. Both my youngest 2 have ASD. Found my youngest went through a clingy stage and was waking at 5am each morning. The clocks changing was always a nightmare and threw him off. Huge hug.xxx
