I absolutely adore how Spirit, as matriarch of the Sahula Sands Safari elephant herd, came to watch over and protect Ella as she gave birth to her first calf! What an amazing scene that was to watch! I love the updated family dynamics that Planet Zoo added in recently! I've been seeing my cubs follow their mothers more, foals and calves staying in groups with a female watching them all play.... Planet Zoo really does a wonderful job of capturing all its animals, and I'm glad we get to share that as a community!

I have a cool little lion fact I hope you'll enjoy! I may make these on every Planet Zoo episode! ^^ Lionesses will actually go into heat at the same time as each other so they can rear their offspring at the same time. This way, one lioness can protect all the cubs while the others are out hunting. This increases productivity in the pride and and increases the cub's chance of survival! I thought it was so cool that the lionesses had babies all around the same time, as real life lionesses actually do!

I actually know of a lioness who had five cubs in one litter, four males and one female. The males, Kito, Bahati, Jasiri, and Usiku, live together at the Denver Zoo, while their sister, Lulu, lives with their parents at the Lee Richardson Zoo in Kansas.

After searching the sands in the safari Jeep for 50 minutes or so I’ve enCOUNTered (Pun intended) 7 lion cubs 1 Rhino calf 1-2 Giraffe calf’s along with the others you haven’t had their trees planted for 3 or 4 Elephant Calf’s I looked over the video a couple times and tried counting the babies born in this episode so I wouldn’t be surprised if I had mistakenly been off a number or two. Lol, what I can confirm is, bay season sure came late! It’s baby season! Also I love how you said “our dung beetles no”. I quite enjoyed this actually! I hade been trying to keep track of the giraffes born that need their trees planted, but I wouldn’t blame you if you couldn’t get around to it. I mean imagine doing this real life planting each individual tree down for every birth, running this zoo has definitely reached wild status! 😂 I would love to be an animal, zoo keeper, or even safari Jeep explorer, as you can tell I went wild trying to figure out how many babies were born this episode!
