I think dps went softer on the “rumbling rumbling” part so that when fabvl’s part came up, it would contrast that much more and get you outta your seat that much harder. Say you transferred from a Za hook to a Za fabvl verse, it’s gonna be fire but it’s basically a similar energy level so it’s not like an explosion out of the blue to really knock your breath away. Like what dps did. He went quiet so that when fabvl came in, the stark difference in their volume and energy level would seem even louder than it actually is.

I feel like Scru missed that the beginning part wasn't necesarilly apart of the song so much as it was an intro of what's to come, hence "can you hear it? The rumbling rumbling." Leading us into "The Rumbling" that is the entirety of the song after that first part. I loved every bit of it

Personally I felt the intro worked to show Eren's outward resolve as you get closer to rumbling in the anime while fav's part is more representative of the feelings that fueled Eren's decision to cause the rumbling. We haven't seen a lot of Eren or his side since he initiated the rumbling but he was acting kinda weird and overly calm leading up to the rumbling, in my opinion

To me I felt the first part was necessary to set the tone for the rest of the song just as the anime had a build up to the rumbling as well. Both the intro and the chorus properly depicted the build up and tone of the events that happened in the show. The artistry was well placed.

@mythicalthings17962 жыл бұрын
I felt similarly at first about the beginning about the intro, but honestly? I appreciate it because it fits the character of Erin *so well* Erin is a reluctant villain, at first glance a lot of people thought he was just becoming a genocidal maniac and was being all chad and cool because that's how he *wanted* the opposing army and his friends to see him. On the inside, despite all his anger for the people who have ruined his and his friends lives, he hated the rumbling, he hated having to kill so many innocent people. But it was the *only* way to even the odds and show the world that his friends weren't all devils, that they could stop him, the true devil and save the world. The intro is Erins facade, the chorus is Erins true feelings, the rest of the song is a mix of his true feelings and the facade.

The direct contrast with Fabvl's verse is great in showing that as well. The first part is necessary if he wanted to convey that transition. It feels like SFJ is too hung up on the beginning. From a conceptual POV that intro talks less about the character and more about the themes that they run into. For me at least, it invoked this feeling of self reflection and the chance to take your life down a different path only to double down on your choices. That's what leads to Fabvl's part of the song and the energy switch up. With the choice made you go all in, 100% with no regrets and no mercy. The beginning is a quiet contemplation that is followed up by pure rage.
