Anything above 35°C is uncomfortable. Good to see one can swim in the desert. That cat was katvriendelik indeed.

Love it.. did you pick up some of the melons on the way to Sossusvlei? Are they edible?

We didn't stop at the melons but I think they're tsamma melons which are edible and used by the San people. I believe they even cook the flesh in stews and roast the seeds that can be ground into a type of flour or used for porridge, I think .... They also make melon oil which is apparently good for the skin.
