Inspired by your videos and “One Day Challenge” episodes, I got the gears and tools and have started now making my own lures. Now it is a pike season and it has been great to catch a nice size pikes with own lures. So, thank you sooo much! You really impacted my life in a great way!

My family owns a factory especially manufacturing soft baits like this. The machines can inject three colors at the same time. "Science facts: Did you know that mollusks like squid and arthropods like shrimp have copper based blood?" Does this mean that a lure made with copper instead of aluminum or steel might attract fish by smell? (Like Mepps spinners with their brass body parts?) If you handle copper or brass you can smell it on your hands... inquiring minds want to know...
@XKawasakiRiderX4 жыл бұрын
Curious... Granted you’re not actually smelling the metal it’s the oils on your skin being catalyzed by the metal. The bulk of the smell is cause by 1-octen-3-one. But I wonder if the metal in the blood catalyzes anything that would cause that smell we associate with metal! Under further research I suppose that is the same reason blood smells “metallic” when it contacts your skin. So perhaps when said type of fish is bleeding the blood might catalyze the oils on its skin and produce a more potent metallic smell...
