So much new age culture has become all about the "green energy", it's to spirituality what cruise ships are to world exploration. If you start with spiritual materialism, and imprint first on that, then it becomes harder not to get caught up in phenomena and products. IOW, it's fun to go to commercialized festivals, but if you can't... what you're missing is a party, and wallet enlightenment. The other benefit, besides party, is business opportunities - seeing what other people are doing, all the different shticks people have, all the different products people are coming up with. In that sense, there's a trade show aspect. I've met more spiritual adepts at free rainbow gatherings than at festivals, but I haven't been to a gathering in a while... maybe they've changed? Festivals are fun parties... if you're in the area, perhaps you can get a day pass or sneak in, if they refuse to sell you a pass? I once had Esalen turn me away because I was too dirty - I'd just been living in a giant tree stump. If that had been a festival, I would've taken that as their suggestion that I sneak in. But it was a workshop, so I would've been found out. Plus, Esalen was like a cliffside compound. Most festies aren't as resistant to infiltration. However, if you don't live nearby, than it could be a long trip for nothing (if there's no feasible alternative way in), so I wouldn't recommend that someone travel for the opportunity. When I've snuck into sold out shows before, it was when I was young, and it was local so I knew the venues pretty well. I wouldn't have mentioned the option at all, except dude is advertising a sold out show, and people are disappointed, so I figured I'd bring up the possibility.

Went last year, didn’t have the greatest time. Definitely experienced some magical moments like engaging in what I would call a shamanic/trance-like dance with a stranger covered in esoteric tattoos, and then running into him later and sharing a very soulful hug. I also synchronistically ran into a few old high school friends while I was on acid and they were on shrooms. The acid trip was also full of some pretty interesting and powerful moments, although it ended fairly terrible with me having to down like 3-4 klonopin and then sleeping the entire next day. The whole trip mostly consisted of me having mental breakdown after mental breakdown, where I really lost it in front of two of the people in our group one day. Looking back, the 5-day experience was pretty defining of where I was and where I somewhat still am in life: broken, addicted to drugs, anxious, depressed, confused, lonely, angry, surrounded by idiots, and not okay whatsoever. I’d say I’m doing a lot better now (still pretty fucked in the head), but those 5 days were some of the hardest days of my life - period.

I'm happy to see there isn't a bad ending. I hope that you keep doing what you love instead of trying to find escape like back then. You are one of the many who have seen such darkness but one of the few who have found a way to keep shining your light to ignite it. You are the people we need. Only you can understand the true pain in the world and why it must be brought to light and healed. Only you can truly bring comfort to those in pain because you actually SEE them. Only you can be a TRUE example of LIGHT. You are closer to Spirit, to Oneness, to God, because you ARE ONE- both light and dark. You are God in human form more than most could ever dream of. Keep shining and finding what brings more of what you LOVE.

Thank you friend, I will keep trying to integrate the darkness properly without falling prey to it; although it’s harder than most can imagine because all I feel most of the time is pain. Ironically, my name is Payne 🙄. I pray to God/Source that the Light blesses me with some sort of love and connection to keep me going, I’ve been lonely, depressed, anxious, and out my mind for wayyyy too long. All I need is a little love and recognition, although that might just be another high 😔. Anyway, thank you ❤️

This is the festival that changed/ruined my life. 😅 I went many years ago. It led me to severe trauma and PTSD. My psyche will never be the same. However, it’s also what led to my awakening. I wouldn’t know about this channel or many of the spiritual teachers I follow like Teal if it weren’t for it. I wouldn’t have changed or woken up if it weren’t for it. However, every time I’m reminded of it, it brings up intense fear and anxiety. I’ll always wish I had a good experience, as I saw how magical it could be. I can’t lie; it hurts seeing people talk about how amazing of a festival it is. Because to me, it was my nightmare. But maybe one day I’ll go again and experience healing. I hope you have a wonderful time Patchman. 💗🌠

Perhaps there are lower-vibrational experiences at LIB, but there are also higher divinely-inspired aspects - and my intention by going is to bring even more light and love, and share in that with those who are there to receive it. I'm thinking if the show is sold out, the lot might still be a party worth hitch hiking into.. I'm wondering what the camping situation is, is there a satellite camp?! Or is all the camping directly on site of the festival? Basically, is the lot rageable ? Wondering if I could find a ride share that wouldn't mind smuggling me into the festival,. Or looking the other way while I smuggle myself in..wait , who are we going to see? Don't tell me, electronic festivals are always better for me if I don't recognize the headliners..but I bet this party is worth the after midnight into sunrise sets.. I think if I get a ride TO the venue, I WILL get into the show.. I've been looking for a place to go for when I just dip and not tell anyone what I'm doing ahead of time.. this is looking like a decent option to flee towards in the wake of my reckless abandonment of Babylon once more!! Besides it's sold out, what other reasons are worth me smuggling myself into this party?? Who is everyone going to see??

Not everyone is naive and feeble minded. I've noticed that many times people say what you just said, yet they are the one in a cult. If you know simple facts of life, you'll see cult BS right away. Some people go to these places to leave cult mentality, yet they get mistaken for the opposite. If you know how to protect yourself, there is never an issue
