I always felt like 76 itself prologues the Enclave forces that were present for Fallout 3, as the Enclave would have had to do some recruitment or have additional cells to come in force in FO3 the way they did in the region. Especially considering the extremely severe case of Old World Blues the 76'ers have and their encounter with the Whitesprings Enclave facility. What I will never understand is how Bethesda went to Appalachia and chose West Virginia, instead of Eastern Tennessee which is both thicker with Appalachian heritage and has the (formerly top secret) city of Oak Ridge, which had the K-25 plant, Oak Ridge National Labs, and Y-12 facility which were all involved in both inventing the nuclear bomb and the manufacture and storage of the USA nuclear weapon stockpile.

@@LowbrowDeluxe I'd bet you are right on the money, and with Oxhorns story coverage, I might even buy into Fallout 76 if Bethesda quits trying to force a pay to grind, pay to win or loot box gambling buisness model, as well as permanently fix all the griefing glitches and start sending IRL law enforcement after the shitstains looking for and using such glitches to commit actual theft and/or robbery and blackmail crimes against other players. (Stealing in game items payed for with real money is no different from stealing the same value of physical items)

I mean, Fallout 1st is a little shifty, i felt like it was the essence of capitalizing on the crappy inventory management system, but everything you can buy other than that is cosmetic stuff or shortcuts for certain CAMP items. You can't, through official channels, buy any item which would give you any advantage...and since you can easily get 7-8 legendary items per day I can't see why anyone would be paying real money for video game items. Honestly, anyone dumb/lame enough to buy in-game items with real money through unsanctioned channels deserves what they get.

We know where the Raven Rock Enclave come from. They come from the survivors of Navarro. Colour Autumns father led the survivors from California to Raven Rock. In 76 the Whitesprings bunker tells us Raven Rock at the time is empty it clearly pre war never factored into either the pre war Enclave or pre war military's strategy. My only gripe is 76 was great opportunity to create a new offshoot of the power mad Enclave like how the Brotherhood are divided by ideology. 76 could have had us rebuild a new more moderate Enclave an Enclave with no interest in joining or helping the other detachments. Instead we get Brotherhood....again.

The "survivors of Navarro" still doesn't explain the sheer numbers required for the Enclave to deploy forces while holding both Raven Rock and Adams AFB, all while still meeting the Eastern Brotherhood on the battlefield. We also know (New Vegas) that not all of the Western Enclave came along; many scattered to the winds. Further, the Carolinas are in a sorry state (Point Lookout). The Settlers and Raiders are effectively doomed to collapse under their weird power structures and likely become dependent on the 76ers, who flood the area and outnumber both. The 76ers become Enclave in some measure at least, and have a horrid case of Old World Blues. The brotherhood presence, honestly, feels like last grasps and lame attempts to mimic them at this point.

I still love the symbolism of the intro, with "Which Side Are You On" playing. For those who don't know, it's an old folk song written by the wife of a union organizer during the coal miners strikes of the so-called Harlan County War. It's doubly appropriate here, both, for the game featuring the conflict between coal miners and mining companies before the war, and the conflict between Raiders and Settlers in this new Appalachia.

FWIW, If you listen again to Page's first entry. He said the last green folks saw was when folks left the Capital out of Union Station. Both DC and Pittsburgh have Union stations, but in our world Pittsburgh is not a state capital and I don't think Pittsburgh was the capital of the eastern commonwealth, so I think Page was talking about leaving DC right after the bombs dropped. And you could almost envision that once those trains got somewhere like Pittsburg they were scrapped and/or repurposed.

I split up the gold btwn the two. If you only give it to Foundation, all that does is make them a target for Crater and any other Raiders that want a piece. I dont know how Foundation couldnt understand that. Even split was the only way to keep the peace.

Excellent work, Oxhorn, as usual! My experiences have been different, in some of the scenerios and witness accounts, in this video. I did run one character siding with Foundation and one character with Crater. It has been a good six months ago, at launch. I recently ran a third through, with Foundation, about a month ago. All Three I took ALL the Gold and mostly stayed on a good side, of people. I never received a GOLD penalty, as discussed. I am probably misinterpreting something here. Probably cut content. Otherwise great to hear that cut content and different dialogue options. Thanks for the Hard Work!

I'm glad you still do those type of videos. There are no people who really wanted to work on 76's lore and most of the guides are not so good compared to yours back from the 4's days. I know that channel may have slowed down with the growth and some changes will be needed if you want to continue your career on youtube, but it's good to see you don't forget about roots of yours. I still remember old content from before the fallout days and I'll gladly stay here for few following years. Great video. Also just want to say three things. First I renamed the F4 CC Solar Cannon (the one that does more damage to Mirelurks) “Bug Zapper”. Second in F4 I got a explosive minigun (no mods were used and I can’t use console commands as I play on Xbox) called it the “GNR Pounder” as I found it there. Third now this might start a controversy but I think the wounding effect is somewhat better than the furious effect. Hear me out the furious effect does increasing damage against a single enemy and firing at a different one will reset the effect. However the wounding effect stacks and can be applied to multiple enemies at once. For example let’s say you’ve got a furious minigun with such low accuracy you won’t hit the enemy as much and it can only be useful against one enemy. However a wounding minigun can hit multiple enemies and the effect stays while also stacking. But both effects are best used on automatic weapons. That is all I have to say.

To be fair to Bethesda Austin, NPCs with dialogue trees (human or robot, it's the dialogue tree that actually mattered, not if they were a human) and impactful choices was a big technical and design challenge that I don't blame them for not tackling on top of being a B team retrofitting the Creation Engine into a multiplayer game. They hoped players would roleplay and people would engage with PvP. Neither happened. All the whining really did was push them to at least try and bring dialogue trees back. It was that or die like Anthem.

it was a good step in the right direction . although im worried enclave an brotherhood gona start their beef early an before they lose a maxon to the ill fated Viper gang. a Side note i hope they fix soon : Despite it does not affect the game (currently) but still bothers me lore wise, if you were under the requirement stats to save Jennys mother (also with digger ) an artificially boosted your stats the game continues as you saved her but the game also acts as if you killed her. exp when you finish saving her shes alive thanking you for givng her another chance to be a mother. but when you talk to penny after 79 she says she wishes her mom was still alive an burred her next to dad. despite saving her. an digger stays alive but the solider asks why you killed him / why trust horn wright when you kill digger. i used a combination of chems an unyielding to achieve the required speech checks. also upset we dont earn the liberated liberator as a camp pet or as a new "lite companion" that season 3 will introduce .

Along with no real consequences about who you chose to do it with or how to split the gold. Unless you piss off Jen. @Oxhorn Hey if you side with the Crater Raiders, Ward claims, "I got my eye on you." Deal, it's a short thing he says before receiving the daily quest. Also Weasel takes place in Fischer's room, she has a bit dialogue about her incident.
