the moment when the video comes on from sophomore year gives me goosebumps every single time. as a dm there’s nothing better than the big twist and your players being genuinely shocked

I’ve been dm-ing a horror campaign I wrote for two years now, and this is the feeling I’m constantly chasing. I’ve had reveals of “you are a simulacrum of the real you who is at home with your family” and I’ve had “you know you’re in a dnd campaign” and each time the player reaction makes it worth it

a moment that i think is in this episode when kristen asks jawbone to show her his chest with like teary eyes. that GETS me every time. like ally immediately turns it into a joke as kristen Would but the idea of every adult they turn to being either evil or killed and going "please please please let me have one adult i can trust and rely on" truly hits me RIGHT in the feelings

The Porter reveal is one of the funniest things ever to happen on the show. I was so caught up in the bit, I forgot to actually be suspicious and I think many felt the same.

I think my favorite part about this moment, after the flashback reveal, is Brennan turning to Murph who is a fellow DM and knows the rules front to back, playing an Inquisitive Rogue who constantly tracks every detail, and saying "What the fuck is *'Barbarian Healing'* ?"

17:10 i will NEVER get over siobhan/adaine's face when the ping pong ball reveal happens, like yes the storm line just before it is also devastating, but just seeing her realize that oisin had been playing her from the beginning is heartbreaking

Tbh I was suspicious of Porter as much as Emily was, even plus that Ragh thing in sophmore year. But throughout junior year could not even THINK of that moment in sophmore year I was like how is Ragh involved???? What could relate to this?? EVEN when we realized Jace was involved I STILL did not remember that clip and I had watched and rewatched Fantasy High I think 3 times by that point. What a great reveal man

I swear to god, I swear to *god* that Murph's die rolls are based on his emotional state. The worse he's feeling about his chances the worse he does, and when he gets dejected and kinda upset he gets the Freshman Year police moments. So throughout this entire season, being able to rely on Reliable Talent as a way to just say "no, actually, I'm kind of immune to your unique system you made for this season" and be the backbone for the rest of the party in terms of stress and information gave him that boost to just fucking blow it out of the water in terms of good rolls. He was hype and in his groove all throughout Junior Year and it came through with things like the Baron 1 and this episode's Nat 20
