In my story, it's the other way around. Umbreon is shy. And then he saved Espie's life. And Vaporeon tried to cheer her up by faking to be her new "boyfriend". And Espeon threw a fit even bigger than Darkrai's, and pretty much killed Vaporeon when she discovered that Vaporeon was cheating. Then she suicided.
