What is there even to do in Grande Prairie? How do I pass my time? are there even stores out there?

Thanks for sharing! My mother is from Grimshaw, Ab, born 1930. I had an aunt that lived in Grande Prairie.I loved the long days up there. I don't think I could handle the short days in the winter - I live in Oregon USA and the winter days are short enough here!

I lived in grande prairie from 1991 to 1999. Basically all my teen years. Moved back to Calgary in 99. Although i have some fond memories of GP, most of it was pretty boring, and full of rich snobs.
