I remember thinking the Goten idea was interesting....and then I actually thought about it. He was never born in this timeline so you'd need a lot of fudging and jumping through hoops to make it work, and if you've gone through all that effort... why pick such a non-character as Goten when you could have anybody else, such as Goku?

There a 12 universes in the DB multiverse, but there are multiple timelines where each multiverse exists in. If I remember correctly, the OG series had like 3-4 timelines thanks to Cell, and Xenoverse/Heroes kinda expands on that despite not being canon. You'll see, this arc is gonna be pretty crazy.

6:36 About your inquiry on fishcake. It is officially called “kamaboko”. While it comes in the usual half shape with a red or pink ring around white, it can be made in many ways. Notably, the “Naruto” fishcake looks like a white multi-pointed star with a pink swirl in the middle. No matter what it may look like, all kamaboko will taste roughly the same, the colors are all just looks, so if you’ve eaten one type you’ve basically eaten them all. Get a bowl of ramen or udon at your local Japanese restaraunt or go to an Asian marketplace. I’m sure you’ll find it there.

I like how some people had a theory back then that it would be Goten from another timeline, but like if to were to be released today and theorized the same way, I would say it would be completely wrong. Remember that Goten is a Half Saiyan and doesn't share the same hairstyle like Goku does and surely the hairstyle was that way because Chichi must've styled it to remind her of Goku when he was dead. So Adult Goten technically could've barely even looked like Goku.

Dinosaurs just happen to be around in Dragon Ball. On that note, it's worth noting DB's Earth isn't like our world. It's a super-continent with furries, talking dinosaurs, and other similarly fantastical elements. DBZ just introduced a tonal shift via things like Oozarus and Kami being aliens, as well as Mr. Satan somehow gaslighting Earth, so we only see remnants.

This arc is one of the best if you liked Zs format of a new serious threat showing up. The villain is up there with Frieza, Cell and Buu and manages to feel quite unique both in terms of story and in terms of why he's a threat. The only thing about this arc is the ending is kind of a thing. It had some good moments and ideas, but overall is extremely questionable and easily one of the most unsatisfying endings to an arc in the entire DB series, ignoring that this is a very solid arc.
