I have some lore on the 2011 pumpkin. In October 2011 saw in the paper that they were being given away at Walmart. When I went they were on a table in ziploc bags with either black and white or color instruction pages. There were also crusty Walmart sugar cookies in the shape of pumpkins with that orange sugar crystal stuff. I found the instructions on rebrickable a while back. Glad that someone took up the highly important task of documenting Lego Pumpkins

This is a very good video! It's amazing to think that a color like orange didn't exist until 1998. Honestly, I can't help but feel bad for designers and fans from long ago, justifiably frustrated that it somehow took that long.

Nooo, you forgot the very last one: the 2024 LEGO® Store buildable pumpkin. Currently there are a bunch of orange elements (and a green leaf piece) in the Pick-a-Brick wall which you're supposed to use to build a 2D pumpkin following the paper instructions they have at the store.

This year where I live a Lego Spider-Man magazines featured green goblin on a glider with what I’m fairly sure are pumpkin bombs although they are clear neon orange with fire coming out. Maybe it’s the same as the one from other green goblin builds but I thought it worth mentioning. Great video 10/10.

Gotta watch this later, but I got that jack-o-lantern bucket with the new orange bricks. First set with orange bricks in them! (I had thought there was a dacta educational set that came out before it, but that was just a quirk of bricklink's catalog. The oldest version of that set couldn't have had orange in it, but a future one did.)

The 1993 Duplo set does not count, there are a couple of those types of sets that kept getting re-released as the same set for multiple years but got updated with different pieces without changing the set numbers. Bricklink does not differentiate these different releases for some reasons, leading to screwups like that. I noticed because it had some Duplo minifigure designs introduced in the mid-2000s showing as having first appeared long before was possible (maybe that exact set?). 1998 is the right answer for orange Lego and Bricklink has some major issues with how it catalogues things, which unfortunately the current owners don't care about going by that part merging scandal last year.
