If you can. Pick up a supply of old Lead tire balance weights- or old fish weights. Pick up a long handle old iron ladle. Put the lead in the ladle. Propane torch it. Pour molten lead into Hollow pommel of handle. The bone will burn a bit-so Douse in water as it starts to set and cool ! That’s how many of the Early knives were handled . Makes for a super stout great looking handle. That blade looks and works great 👍

@@CuttingEdgetools I see, so the lead would fill the gaps much in the manner of using epoxy nowadays. For this knife I like the lightweight feel and midway balance point, but that technique using lead is worth bearing in mind for all kinds of reasons. I sometimes wonder how the epoxy will hold up to the centuries. Something tells me it won't be as stable as cast lead!

@@dongkhamet1351 Definitely Lead will make a long lasting handle that will outlast epoxy. But for serious weight considerations Epoxy

That is a sweet little knife! I recently poured a pewter bolster on a knife and cannot believe the difference it made in the balance and feel of the knife, I’ll do a video on it when I get it done, thanks!

@@MrDiamond135 Thank you! Work in progress... hopefully I don't break it during further stress testing because I quite like it.

I always end up taking twice as long when I try to cut corners. Look forward to seeing it tested more.

@@hatehypocrisy1 that I made this knife for stress-testing purposes, so that I and anyone who obtains a similarly made knife from me may have an idea as to the durability of the blade, the handle and the blade-handle union. I made a series of tests which I documented in the “Testa Testing” series. The knife proved surprisingly resilient.
