The glass bead turning red represents their concept change. Its a direct reference to their debut song Glass Bead, where their concept was a strong innocence. Apple was the first comeback they made where they officially announced they are breaking away from their innocent brand. Thats why in the lyrics/MV they are talking about temptation changing the color of the glass bead (themselves)! So their future comebacks will probably be more mature like Apple

Their most viewed MV should be Me Gustas Tu, the real breakthrough song of theirs. but sadly a couple years ago their company switched distributors so the MV got deleted. It wouldve had more than 100 million views :/ it was so popular every idol group learned the dance and its been covered a lot. so make sure you watch that later! Rough was the comeback after Me Gustas Tu and is a legendary song too, it won like 13+ times on music shows which was VERY rare back then

Gfriend has released two explanatory videos that also acted as teasers for their two most recent comebacks "Crossroads" and "Apple." A Tale Of The Glass Bead: Previous Story (this is an official video that talks about their past MV’s. Everything prior Crossroads so imo watching the MV’s before that then watching this video then crossroads is probably a good idea) A Tale Of The Glass Bead: Butterfly Effect (this was released just before Apple so its linked to the new storyline) Other than that everything is theories but they are quite interesting! Gfriend completely changed it up for Apple, they gained a lot more international interest from this one especially. Gfriend have a very particular sound that is unique to them, usually very orchestral and gives off anime vibes to a lot of people. Their vocals are very stable and the majority of members have had high notes in their songs (side tracks included). Their dancing is one of the best in the industry and that’s a well-known fact, that’s how a lot of people know Gfriend. They were the ones who really boosted up the difficulty of girl group choreos (not saying that any other groups choreo was easy but from debut, Gfriend’s choreo was especially difficult). On weekly idol (the variety show), there’s a popular segment called the 2x speed dance where groups do their dances 2x the normal speed. Gfriend were the first ones to do it and to do it the best. They even did the 2x speed random play dance which plays their title tracks randomly 2x the speed. Gfriend always delivers. So happy you're getting into them, it's really worth it. And they are close with Mamamoo, and they even have a show together called Showtime. Do react to it when you get a chance. Also, their dance practices are lit!! And it's hard to pick a bias, but something tells me Sinbi might become your bias. And also, they do have a storyline that connects with BTS and TXT. They have little storybook previews that you should always watch. Like, watch all the MVs in order and you'll see what I mean. The glass bead is important to their story.

I’m so happy your getting into them!! The main reason you haven’t heard too much about them is probably cause they’re still a little underrated internationally, but in South Korea they’re definitely one of the top girl groups, ranking in the top 10 (if I remember correctly) in most music show wins. They’re mainly known for their sharp and precise choreo, but over the past few years they’ve been getting much more recognition for their top tier vocals. If you want to get to know them better, a good guide to start off on is “A Guide to Gfriend:2020”, by M-Buddy; it does a pretty good job showcasing their personalities and talents! :)

"Apple" was the first comeback by GFriend that didn't blow me away. The song itself isn't bad, but to me it's just not a GFriend song. I'm not referring to the more mature concept, either. I'm referring to the lack of real instruments in the song as well as the soaring strings that initially attracted me to their music.

Ok so let me say something really important here. Gfriend, as you will see later, is know bcs their are the most synchrony and gay group ever. If seventeen has the best choreography in kpop bgs history, gfriend does it for girl groups. Also the vocal, Yuju is Totally the best singer of third generation and I said what i said. Gfriend are the real queens of this whole kpop shit. Even that segment of Weekly Idol, 2x speed dance, was created because of gfriend (doni and coni said that a lot) so im not kidding here. Everything they have rn is bcs of their hard work. Their debut? The ceo of the company sold his HOUSE to give this girls a debut. And still they are just a group yet bcs their song "Me Gustas Tu" was a hit bcs it was originally their disband song. I'm getting emotional but let me finish. This girls deserve the whole world and I'm so happy that you're getting into them. You can't even imagine. And I didn't said a word about their discography that is GORGEOUSLY A MASTERPIECE.

Gfriend is popular BUT they still get less recognition. They are literally Capable of everything every member can do anything! I am serious I wouldn’t lie. And they are literally crackheads and gay. But because some don’t like their music concept they get less attention. This is a new concept from them it’s 180 turn from the last cb original their title tracks have original orchestra in it. And they are known for that. Also they are known for knife choreos. Also they are the most synchronized gg out there. The main vocal is in the top 3 best main vocals in 3 and 4 gen in kpop . And the main dancer in top 10 maybe top 5 best main dancers. In all if you like gfriend and want to stan you definitely won’t regret
