The FATE (Feminization, agricultural transition and rural employment) project uses a mixed methods approach which combines different methodologies. The quantitative method used is an extensive household survey carried twice in two different time periods. The aim is to find the same household to have a comparison in time. This short documentary present the implementation of the second round of survey in the south of Laos.
The FATE project is a 6 year research project by the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies from the University of Bern in Switzerland in collaborations with National University of Laos, Nepal Centre for Contemporary Research, International Center for Tropical Agriculture in Rwanda and the University Mayor de San Andrés in Bolivia.
