The latter was called a peasant's revolt. Wikipedia has a list of over 160 peasant revolts spanning over 2000 years, in 16 of which (10%) the peasants won, and in 15 more, the peasants did not win but neither did they lose completely. The latest is the 1994 Zapatista uprising of Mexican indigenous peasants that ended in a Ceasefire, and before that, the 1975-1991 Uprisings in Tigray and Eritrea; part of the Ethiopian Civil War, by Tigrayan and Eritrean peasants that ended in a win: Derg overthrown; Eritrean independence.

@michealdrake34219 ай бұрын
I 100% disagree. The internet is frankly the best thing that's ever happened to the human race, and the fact that people use it for shitty things is not its fault, but someday it might solve the problem. The internet is the largest, most comprehensive repository of information in the history of the human race for sure, and possibly the universe. And you have, in your hands right now, a device that gives you unrestricted access to that resource, any time you want for as long as you want. Right now you can, with the right keywords, look up nearly anything anyone has ever known about anything, just because you feel like it. Concepts like quantum computing and brain mapping have already been proven, at least mathematically or conceptually, which means it's only a matter of time before practical technology and engineering catch up. And I'm excited for it. I think it'll herald a second consecutive golden age for our species. At worst there will be a major, intergenerational conflict as a result our (as a species) difficulty adjusting to the new status quo, but it will ultimately be an even greater leap forward than we've ever taken as a species, with the potential to eliminate conflict and even death as a concept and propel or species on an exponential trajectory.

The first was an Outer Limits episode, that ended badly when the Network, designed to learn, wanted to learn EVERYTHING, and so used the humans as data gathering tools, which was not nearly as fun as you think it would be. One guy died counting hairs on his arm and tiles in the ceiling of the room he was in in the hospital. Still a fun story, though odd that that HASN'T gotten to the point of ubiquitous information on the species, especially since he freely shared it. The second makes humanity into an entire species of Celestial Being from Gundam00(Gundam Double Oh), which was a group dedicated to 'enforcing peace'...though there it was because humanity needed to be united because of the aliens inside Saturn(Which might not be aliens, but are in fact, another tech of a past human civilization).
