I'm a casual builder and haven't had a lot of experience building with multiple manufacturers. My current case is an aging TT Core V51 that for some odd reason doesn't seem to be compatible with the E-ATX motherboard I just purchased. I don't have big water-cooling plans, but the RGB looks really nice and that is enough for me. Pretty case with adequate space for a large motherboard and very large GPU (Radeon 7900XTX). Thanks for your candid review - nice to hear the facts and feel reassured that I ordered through a local big-box retailer in case of QC issues.
@gamingasadults9946

Because of your gpu, be sure to have fans with enough airflow. Also, know the "EATX" is not a standard size and anything labeled as such should be measured. EATX just generally means "should be larger than ATX". When you have everything swt up, you should show us pictures in our discord. -Austin

@@gamingasadults9946 Thanks for responding! That is a really helpful tip about E-ATX. I'm going to see if my new motherboard works with my old case since am really fond of it. I also misspoke and it's a X71 TG, so it's definitely large enough for all my components. Airflow-wise, I'm still experimenting. With my current configuration (including the 7900XTX) the open design of the case has helped keep things cool. I will definitely share once I have a photo of the new setup! - Russ

I LOVE my View 51. Brand new build! I'm running an i-9 11900 with 128 Gb RAM. Maximus XIII Hero running Nvlink 3090's with a 1250 TT RGB Titanium power supply. All case fans are the TT quad LEDs, 4-200mm, and 4-120's. Side-mounted TT 360 water cooler with six quad 120's in push/pull. That's 14 fans in total. Also running LED strimmer's on the GPU and CPU power supply cables. And the case is perfect cuz you have so much hidden space to easily hide the wires...and there are a lot of them! But I must say...it's a pretty setup...and it flies!

Why do you care so much about hiding wires? All I read was: I'm blinded by industry gass lighting people into flashy lights first, usability second. A common problem. Box cases aren't new by any strech, even lian li is bullshitting that. Ask yourself: plastic on the top, over mesh? Why plastic on the front murdering two pretty good fans?

One side of the glass on top was also unattached as the glue wasn’t holding it together anymore. Options were to glue it back myself or return it. I returned it. @gamingasadults9946 4 жыл бұрын
Well i think i'm gonna need a bit more info. For a background, when i look at cazes, i look at all of the possibilities and then align that with the users needs. For example, in this case (haha get it.... Anyways), it was for a friend who just needed something rigid and robust enough to ship through the postage system, but also needed airflow and room to upgrade. Its not perfect but it suits the needs of the buyer. For my wife's case (Thermaltake level 20 HT), airflow was not a concern because of the ridiculous radiators in it and so on and so forth. So there really is no such thing as the "best case" because everyone's uses and views will be different. -Austin from Gaming as Adults

Probably an ARBG splitter cable. Because the controller has proprietary connectors, for this specific case, and it only controls the included fans, if you wanted more fans with pretty lights then you would have to get a cable for that. Coolermaster makes one for about 25 dollars on newegg. -Austin

You're being too hard on this case. Every case has its flaws and also pros. Seem like you're picking out every single thing that is considered a con no matter how small the imperfection it is. I built computers since 2000, and this case by far one of the best design cases that I have the pleasure to built on. It is well thought out and sure there are some things that are not perfect but so do every other case out there.

Truth be told, i would have not recommended it if it was total garbage. That being said, as an experienced PC builder, the small imperfections and design flaws will never stop annoying me. Every flaw I see, I will call it as i see it. If i do recall, I do compliment this case in many ways. It is not trash, however it is nowhere near perfect. Many of Thermantake's designs are like that. It is up to a system builder to decide if they can live with those flaws or quirks. Thank you for the feedback. -Austin

@gamingasadults9946

That would be contingent on your component selection. Short answer: most of the time. If you have a system that isnt putting out high heat, then you should be fine. If you have fans in almost every available spot, then maybe. If you were planning to do liquid cooling with two radiators, either CLC or open loop, then you should be generally fine. This trend continues on almost every thermaltake case you will see on the market. Hope this helps. -Austin

20:06 DAMN IT! Thermaltake why the heck didnt you slide that hard drive cage down closer to the PSU! Look at all that wasted space! You couldve easily added another frigging 2x hard drive cage just like the lian li O11D XL! *sigh* This makes me so angry. If they only added that second hard drive cage AND somehow put that PSU up in the show case with everything else so it wasnt hidden away.. I would buy this case in a heart beat. Thats Thermaltake for you. I swear they do this on purpose. They refuse to build an excellent case because they know no one will buy another case after that so they purposely build half-way decent cases that will never fulfill all your needs. And its not just Thermaltake that does this. Its all the damn case companies out there. I know this is done on purpose because its not a coincidence all the case companies refuse to build a case to do what I just said. 4 drives and PSU up in the show room with all the other components. Yes the P8 and the P5 have done this with their PSU, but they have no decent drive storage. I mean come on Thermaltake even Corsair was able to squeeze in 3x 3.5" drives in the storage compartment on the 680X (AND 4 2.5" drives right on top of them). This case is basically a better version of the Lian Li O11D. Better because it offers better cooling with the vents and offer 200mm fans whereas Lian Li 011D doesnt offer 200mm fans. I wish it did or I would buy that in a heart beat because it has the 4x drives hot swap cages in the back. I'm still case hunting and after seeing this case I'm starting to think I should either not buy a new case yet and pray Thermaltake gets their shit together or buy one and deal with the fact I'll be selling it to buy a new one when Thermaltake comes out with the "XL" version of this case offering 4x 3.5" drive storage. Seriously All they have to do is put that entire side of this with the extra 2x 3.5" drive cages onto the P8 or even the P5 and they will have a case that will dominate the market. Its go the venting, the PSU being showed off, the drive storage, the crisp clean glass all around, and room for 3 radiators

@gamingasadults9946
@gamingasadults9946 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly it depends on your hardware and how you're using the case. If your configuration is pushing a TDP of about 600 watts or more on air cooling, then the fans will probably do little. If you are using water cooling, then you should put your radiator on the top because airflow will probably suffer. The included fans are also trash. They are there to look pretty. So I guess yeah it does hurt the case but it would only be noticeable if your computer is pushing a lot of heat. -Austin

The music was depressing. Like critiquing a funeral or something. I bought this case for all the room it has to build in and the large area in the back to hide the cables. Mine is white without the tint on the glass. I don’t know why anyone wants tint on the glass because to me it hides the beauty inside the case. I also have an Corsair crystal 570x RGB case that’s got just a slight tint and that’s ok but some are way to dark for me. All that money spent on RGB goes to waste. I’m going remove all 3 of the fans that come with this case and replace them with better Thermaltake ring 20 RGB fans. I’m also going to use a Corsair Commander Pro and install 140mm and 120mm Corsair QL Double Ring fans. Mounting a NZXT X73 Kraken AIO Cooler on the side with fans front and back to pull fresh air in. Also mounting fans on top and bottom and rear for exhaust. So front and side pulling in fresh cool air and top bottom and rear for exhaust. Should be ok. I’m also painting the entire case with different colors of neon high gloss paint. It’s gonna really pop with 15 RGB fans and that neon paint. Inside the case will be sprayed with 2X Glitter metal flake silver. It will look like a disco inside this case.

Got about 6 minutes into this "honest" review and realized that I'm just listening to a company hater. Should go into all reviews with an open mind instead of coming out of the gate and just talking about how much you hate the company. If you can't set biased opinions of a company aside, don't review their products.

Well thats actually wildly incorrect. I absolutely adore Thermaltake and their products previous to the RGB trend. Thermaltake is one of the only companies that will make products that nobody asked for. For the most part, that is how their company is so effective. These off the wall items become publicity and wacky niches in the PC realm. Currently, i own 3 Thermaltake cases and i do not regret my decision to purchase them. On one of them, I modded it until i couldn't mod it anymore (for performance reasons that werent nessecary. Theres a whole saga on it). My gripes are with some of the leadership of thermaltake. If you were to watch some footage of a live stream PR even with Thermaltake reps and Steve Burke from gamers nexus, you might understand how stubborn TT is to face the reality of their products. They don't take criticism at all and they refuse to change faults. So, if the company woulsnt loaten to the customers, I will do diligence as a reviewer and inform the customer about every bad thing i can find. Anything that could be potentially seen as negative, I will reveal. Because TT likes to pay reviewers to give biased RGB glam footage and call it a review. I am not payed by anyone so i dont play by those rules. I really enjoy comments like this. Dont think i'm upset because my smile is ear to ear as i type. If youve got questions or wanna pick my brain a little, we have a discord too -Austin

Buying such a case for such a cheap filling is ridiculous and posturing .

Well its a cheap case. Not in the matter of MSRP but definitely in terms of quality, development, ECT. In fact, the only reason I recommended this case for my friend was because it is made of steel and looks pretty; the pretty part really mattered to her. -Austin

@@gamingasadults9946 A huge , heavy and space - consuming case weighing 14.5 kilograms , serves exclusively for top - end hot assemblies . For powerful liquid cooling . There is simply no other reason to buy it . When the case costs 2 times more expensive than the processor that you have installed , is this your advice to a friend ? Your advice is very bad .

First off, puting a liquid loop in this case is a mistake because it is designed for thermaltake liquid cooling products designed by thermaltake. Secondly, you have no idea how hard my friend is or could be on products. And finally and most importantly, she liked the case because it is pretty. There was a budget and she decided to sacrifice on components that she would never fully utilize for more reasonable components. I did not tell her that this case was her only option. She chose this case among others. Why are you so upset that someone is happy with their product? It is compatible with air cooling and AIO's because water cooling isnt for everyone. Frankly, the maintenance would be overwhelming for her and she admitted that. The cost is also not justifiable for her use case. And that's most people's opinion on the matter. Also, this is a pretty poor case. It is not for elite builds. -Austin

@@gamingasadults9946 To call this building beautiful , well , I don 't know . There are many glass cases more beautiful . In any case , this assembly looks out of place in this case . This is my opinion since I use this case myself.

Sounds to me like you're gate keeping. Might i recommend gate keeping a brand that understands how to measure temperature? Also, this build was over 2 years ago. At the time, most of those parts were fairly modest. It did have a raid 0. The GPU was pretty trash because there was a drought and a budget to keep. I have owned 3 Thermaltake cases made "specifically for high end water cooling". All 3 of them sucked because the ergonomics for design or the structure was not thought out. My wife's computer is obnoxious to move once its filled. The case in this video would be no different if it was liquid looped. If you want a "High end elite build" that is impossible to move, just build a server. It'll get you the same effect and you might be able to move it to another room. -Austin

btw .. you just attach another connector and a piece of flexible tubing through the hole .. its called a hose .. you put one end of a quick disconnect on the end of the ball valve, the other to the flexible tubing, click, and turn the handle ... right into a bucket .. its actually a pretty good idea .. the cover should have been better engineered for sure though .. I own this case .. the white version in particular .. and have a TON of custom water cooling in it .. i bought this to replace my aging Thermaltake Core 71 that i got 2nd hand ( great case for a LONG time, but NOT worth the current prices for it ) .. the white version is SO prone to scratching and smudging during building or moving or cleaning or dusting or ANYTHING really .. and YES .. FUCK THAT PUMP BRACKET .. you should SEE what it did to the paint on the bottom of the case when removing it for my other bracket .. had to go back in and touch it up .. the paint is SO thin and I would guess they didnt prime it either .. other than that ( in my opinion ) wrong idea you have about the drain port, I agree with you completely. The $150 USD ( plus shipping and taxes ) was NOT worth the price .. i got it going right and looking good, but WITHOUT using ANY of the control software / hardware or fans that make up the PREMIUM PRICE of this overall moderate case .. anyway .. enough of the rant .. kuddos my dude .. keep up the good work
