The star means it highlights the starred part when you’re working on the car. It doesn’t just show by default.

one thing which I wish they added was coolant hoses going from the engine to the radiator. As a person who loves cars It would be amazing if they also added a feature to rebuild transmissions just like engines.

It says its a symulator but the engine just jumps out of the engine bay for ease. In reality the mechanic has to work in tight spaces and work ways of getting to parts with it in place

So the highlighted blue parts happen when you click the "Star" on the parts list. I'm assuming it's a tool to help less mechanically inclined people find where the parts are. Gives you the option to go in blind, or know exactly where they're at when you start.

LOVE PB Blaster. It’s my go-to. I attempted the Kroil because of all the hype. $20 a can and it’s equal if not subpar to PB Blaster at 4 times the price. I’ll be keeping my PB for those truly stubborn fasteners. It’s the best.

Wish they finally add some people to the garage or costumers or something, open area is great but they could have added so much more i mean the jump from 2018 is not that big in this one to be honest compared the amount of content some other games have. They just copy paste and repolish stuff from past games and add so little to new one and now there gonna be ton of dlc-s again to buy with no multiplayer of any kind, even interaction with other players... I do some 3d modelling and making outside environment like that is at worst a week of work like come on... all the other models the workdesk, drawers, engine crane, etc... are just copy paste from past game, this should have been a DLC for 2018 not a new standalone game

The highlighting is exactly the same as in 2018. Hate that the filtering when buying parts is so limited. How many sites do you know today that don't let you filter to exactly the model you are working on? How many times I have bought the wrong parts cause there was an H I missed somewhere or whatever... Downloading this demo now to check it out. Edit: Ok, after the first moments of getting familiar I proceeded to look at the first car and fixing it. My complaint about the limited search has mostly been fixed. Now you can actually just click on a part in the shopping list and it auto fills in the name in the search box. GREAT improvement!

My only thing is that there was a rather lengthy break between the two titles why couldn't they have worked on licensing agreements for the new title?. Like they got permission to do dlc for 2018.

I can say that it does help some. While it may not be a 1x1 100% exact replica on the realism when it comes to a simulation game, I can say that playing this game has helped me be able to identify certain parts and whatnot on my own personal vehicle in real life, and I have no actual training/hand on experience with cars outside of adding more oil or refilling the gas tank.

i hope they fixed the inventory issue. I wanna have all the common parts I need, so I don't constantly have to buy the same parts over and over. But in cme 2018, it would cause serious lag having too much in your inventory.

I’m psyched for this but I want a place to look at all of my cars besides only 3. I made some great cars in the 2018 version. Lots of hours grinding and just restoring cars. All my garages are full and I have about $2m. My garage is all customized

Will hold up may be to grindy for some Some don't like missing wiring sensors and lines What I have biggest problem setting up transmission when add massive power Doubling the factory output is normal for me now on level 42 It be nice have option make more difficulty and balancer to get more rmps and rev limiter so doesn't spin me in certain gears My top speed is 255 I trying push it Tried electric but I lost it around 195 I loved eletric cars but batts cost me 15 g

It's also funny how when you use WD-40 to spray on rusted bolts to get them unstuck, the game called it "DW-04" despite the in-game model of the can having the exact color/layout/labeling as WD-40.

I am curious.. when you click on the star next to the part on the work order and it turns blue does that automatically highlights the part blue on the actual car to be repaired/changed?

Yes. When you are looking at the order to see what needs to be fixed/replaced, if you click the star or "mark" that part, it highlights/outlines the part to show you when you go to the car and start taking parts off. That way, it helps you figure out where the parts are exactly that need to be replaced. It doesn't automatically outline the parts that need to be replaced like that...even in a demo/tutorial. It only outlines them once you have marked the specific part in the order list.
