Does that tiny gap truly make a real difference? Couldn’t you close off that gap or put something in that gap if it’s truly a concern?

Thanks for the review, very helpful. I'm wondering, between the Austin Air filter (which you said that you would be purchasing) and the EnviorKlenz, which do you like better?

For most people, Austin Air is probably better. For my particular use case, it doesn't do a great job removing Ammonia, which is my primary concern aside from dust, because I am breeding roof rats. So, in the rat house, I actually have a standard model EnviroKlenz (not the UV one) and an AirDog Pro (which is great at removing small particles and the dust collectors are washable.) I've added a washable pre-filter to the EnviroKlenz to extend the life of it's filters. In my main house, I use an Austin Air.

Slide the back cover down just past the filter and pull the filter to touch the back panel. It’ll close the gap without making a gap toward the front

That still leaves gaps on both sides and the rear.

So if you are smoking in a room that gap will not allow the smell to be fully filtered correct since that carbon filter is suppose to do that. The smoke will just go right through that gap as well. i guess an easy fix is to pull that filter out and add some type of silicone material in front of the filter so that it sticks out the most it can to cover that gap. i don't see any other way this can be fixed.

The standard model without the UV light doesn't have the gap. We exchanged this one for the standard model, and that's now what we are using.

@@PetRoofRats nice. i was about to buy a uv version for like 300 which was new but i just saw your review. i mostly want it to get rid of smell when smoking dabs in a back room.

@@Bluntedco. OK, well that is a cheap price. At least the HEPA filter would probably still work.

I just got the standard model and it has that "new smell". I wasn't expecting that since it has a metal housing. Did your's have that issue?
