My favorite part from the looks of it is the ability to collect all of the dinosaurs and different rarities! I appreciate the sense of accomplishment that comes with getting the rarest varieties and love collecting. Personally, I would prefer the art style to look more like breath of the wild / have a touch more realism and dimension since I equally love exploration, and really want to find beautiful areas and rare items while appreciating my scenery. 🤍

I get that romance is a big draw for many people, myself included, but having non-romance options is so great to see. Way to often romance and marriage is one of the largest mechanics of farming sims/cozy games and it sucks for those who really arnt interested in that sort of thing at all. So I know a few people I'm going to be suggesting this game to because of this.

It looks like there's no combat or anything threatening, which is good because I've found that too many farming games tend to include some kind of combat or monsters to harass you. Sometimes I want a game that's gonna kick my ass, and I have plenty of those, but sometimes I want a game where literally nothing wants to attack me.

I'm glad that this game is focused on the dinosaurs, thats the reason I would buy this. The farm isn't that important to me to be honest, I would love if I could progress through the whole game without needing to do the farming part.

I have it preordered, I've been following the games development for a few years and I'm so happy to see it finally getting released!! I love dinosaurs and cozy games, and I love that this game has a ton of more obscure species and not just the common ones. It's really feeding my inner dino nerd, lol. Appreciate the honest review! I'm still super hyped for this game and the cons don't really bother me that much. I'm not expecting too much from this game though, I just wanna collect and look after some cute dinosaurs ❤ Most dinosaur games are violent and involve fighting, or killing dinosaurs, but I just wanna make friends with them!

Those are definitely two of my bigger cons! I still don’t love the journal but after a bit I feel like the map got a lot easier to figure out! I would still LOVE a mini map though

I love dinosaurs and I've been looking for a nice farming sim... and I actually hate romancing lol I don't mind befriending characters but my god I wish Stardew Valley didn't make me feel like such an outcast during big events just because I didn't want to marry any of the NPCs.

For me personally I'm only missing a couple things from paleo pines. I think that some of the large carnivores are missing purposes like t-rex and baryonyx Like being able to catch fish or track, and missing some superstar prehistoric animals like sauropods and pterosaurs

This is one of those games I like watching but will pass on. I played the demo ane it was super fun but I found replicating the dino's calls difficult. I think it would be easier if they had the button promps overlaid the colors (if that makes any sense).

Honestly I'm glad it gives you enough time to get it right. I've spent like 5 minutes trying to get a call down which is more then I'd like to say Lol. But yeah button promts is a good idea. I hope that gets added

I love love LOOOVE Paleo Pines so far! One con for me though is that I haven't found a way to save my progress without going all the way home. I don't think there is a way, but someone please let me know if I'm wrong! This hasn't been much of a problem for me yet, but it might become stressful when I expand to other maps and perhaps find myself lost and far away when I realize I have to close the game to be somewhere in a couple minutes!

I am so happy to hear there's no romance in the game. I enjoy farming sims games but really dislike romance in farming sims game. I actually like placeholder npc in the game because you can use your imagination and create your own backstory for them. I decided to hold off on Fae Farm and wait for Paleo Dinosaur review. And to see how well it runs on the Switch. I love dinosaurs so much. Too bad their no demo on the Switch.

Im one of the many who played the demo on repeat while waiting for the full game to release I feel like if you enjoy games like Minecraft or Raft youll enjoy Paleo Pines. Its mostly because of the grindy nature of the game. Sometimes it doesnt feel as grindy when you balance it with doing story quests, befriending dinos, and farming; but if you have a day where you just do the quest board tasks it really wears you down. The only thing i can say is "dont" if you can. The game isnt difficult but it isnt easy. I think its a very fun and accessable for people of diffent ages and abilties, especially since its available on several different platforms. I hope we see a DLC that either expands the lands or ads a new biome in the future along with a few new dinosaurs and NPCs

I've said this on reddit but I'd say wait to purchase the game. Let the devs and team roll out a dew updates because the glitches I'm having on the switch version are insane. Its a very mindless game but it's fairly grind heavy like animal crossing is for money except money..is harder to make. You loose it faster than you aquire it. If youre wondering what the glitch is currently any placed item on my farm is being duplicated over and over no matter what happens and my gates vanish into thin air :0 shocking! Yeah I've restarted the game twice and two separate save files had issues like this. I have watch her video yet but will, its a beautiful game but.. eek its issues are bad.

I'm black and at this point it's getting kinda annoying because they're trying to force diversity just to try to lure us in, I'm for diversity that's ORGANIC, not having every other race except white people. Do what you want, but if a game being appealing to you only bc there's other people in the game with the same skin tone as you then you might be getting the game for the wrong reasons. IMO

I would have guessed fishing would be an option. It is very cutesy, so I wasn't expecting the player to have a cow farm to feed the meat eating dinosaurs. How are the meat eaters fed then?

Got a really good computer but sadly this game is a bit laggy. I never get motion sickness but this game was insane, just 5 minutes in and I had to quit.. The characters are a bit uncanny valley and something with the colors or lighting is off. Was so hype for this game, so now I'm a bit sad..

What stops me from getting Paleo Pines is how ugly the human characters look. I wish you could play the game without ever interacting with them. They remind me of children's shows where the kids are supposed to scream answers at the screen. A little more realistic dinosaurs would also help - they look like inflatable pool toys.

I,ll be really honest! Its a 3/10 kinda game, yes it looks cute, but it lacks depth and real creativity. You can't enter your home and customise it, can't build much at all really, very basic. Dino's are cool but could be better .. I mean at least let them breed or something. It can get boring and repetitive quite quickly because of very few things to do.. Apart from farm. Big hype, small reality.
