The only time I got love and attention as a child was when I was performing and when I was beautiful, anorexia is a failure on behalf of society as a whole and a persons immediate family. Also being lesbian and growing up in an environment that didn't really acoknowledge my existence and kept people like me hush hush didn't help either. I had to force myself to be with a man which made me feel physically ill.
